Are you sure there isn't also a "forget every key but this one" function? Gen 1 had that.

That would be my first choice if I ran out of slots. Just use one fob that you've got for "forget 'em all but this one" and then register whatever others you want. No seed code required because you still have a registered fob to start with.

In fact, this tends to be one of the first things I do with any newly acquired used Prius.

Possible, but I haven't looked at that too hard. I only seem to recall an "erase all keys" menu item in addition to "add a key" and "all keys lost".

Ok, I have a working SKS key and a replacement logo key. I also bought a set of seed codes.

Were you able use any key functions with the Autel MaxiAP200?

I was not able to on a non-SKS 08. Granted, I do wonder if cellular service was an issue. I was not able to reliably have data where the car was parked and until I switched my Autel app over from the no T-Mobile service area phone, to Verizon which had patchy service there. Then with the Verizon phone I was able to log into the app and use.

Thankfully, ultimately, the sold as "has no keyfob" 08 did have its master key available and was there at the location with the seller used for another gen 2 a locksmith programmed to. So was able to chicken dance the salvage yard black logo keyfob and install the associated doorlocks on the parts car 08 we're restoring.

Now wondering what the minimum ECU's required are on a non-SKS model if in the future we encounter a "no key fob" gen 2 Prius to restore?

I grabbed the Engine and HV Control ECU's from the other yard car we found a keyfob in and the associated door lock. I also grabbed the key slot and shift assembly just to own, since was a 50% off sale. Didn't see the other ECU modules noted in other threads (Certification & Transponder), though the Transponder ECU might be behind the blower fan assembly and I didn't remove yet.
