    I guess I wanted to point out that just because someone has a different point of view or tells you to do something you do not agree with, they are not stupid nor a moron. There were rational reasons for her response, as there were rational reasons for what you did.

    Point is, we all need to be more careful as to what is REALLY stupid or moronic behaviour....again, none seen here.

    It's an extension cord!! I would imagine that it is unplugged during daylight hours.

    The problem is that your solution was a kludge - burying an extension cord is not up to code. As soon as she knows about it she is liable if something happens. You say that you would pay for any damage, but for anything more than minor damage it would not be your call to cover it - what would happen if someone were electrocuted? The owners of the park would definitely be sued. Also, the owners could have problems with the local inspectors over something this small which could have bigger consequences for them than just your light.

    Sorry, but I do not think the manager was a moron- Im not trying to be a jerk but that label might be applied to the person doing unlicensed and improper electrical work.

    All that being said, they need to fix the lights - put some pressure on them and keep the pressure on until they make the repairs.
