There was a lady on my old street in the LA Westside. I think she was from Eastern Europe and liked to stay fit. She only drove dark-blue Priuses. I would see her washing them regularly. She went through three generations of dark-blue Priuses while I was there.

I have received an enormous number of compliments from people who say they love the color of my 2025 Prius plug-in. car. I, naturally, also like it. I think the compliments were one of the reasons I chose to go with the PPF. This is my third Prius and they have all been blue. The second Prius (my first PHEV from 2012) was very light blue (almost baby blue). I actually think I liked that one best but I have had a large number of people say they like the new blue (much darker blue) better than my previous light blue. I had no idea how many people did not like color of my previous Prius (which was totaled by hitting a deer about two months ago).

I drove a 1985 Light-Blue Metallic Toyota Corolla LE for many years. Light blue was a staple color of the 1980s. I really liked it.

The Blue Magnetism (aka Spirited Aqua Metallic in other countries) on my 2021 Prius Prime Limited is a spectacular color. With its ultraviolet glow and subtle green hint, it’s one of the best Toyota colors ever. They should have carried it over to Gen 5.

The Light Blue Metallic 1985 Toyota Corolla LE totalled in a hit-and-run in August 2019.

    * A veritable greenhouse, sensible wheels and covers; those were the days. Looks like it still had bumpers too.

To each their own :) but no, I alternated and tried different colors. My first 2005 was blue though. But the 2025 color selections were... limited. I suppose they always were, but the 2013 prius persona i had in the black cherry was pretty. I almost went for that again lol. But ugh I didnt want years of ownership of another silver car.

LoL. So yeah more color options would be nice. But it IS supposedly an economy car? I don't usually go white, black, bright red or some of the past color options for personal or other various reasons. Hope you find the photos fun or funny. I had a used 1990 toyota camry and a used 1995 nissan maxima XLE prior. Hahaha going from the maxima to a 2005 prius was something else and now my 2025 prius has more Horsies than that 1995 160ish HP maxima.

That black cherry was an interesting very nice color!

You had an amazing Prius collection.

That emerald-green PPF looks great on the silver Gen 5! And @daisy555 spent two years looking to replace her silver Gen 2 with none other than a silver Gen 5. LOL

I also spent a "small fortune" to PPF the entire front of my 2024 Prime along with the entire body Ceramic coating. Almost a year later, wish I would have done the windows but I'll be seeing my local guy in a month or two anyways (he's super busy and is scheduling a month in advance) and may see about the windows then too. With another local guy recommended by the PPF/Ceramic guy, I also did a kind of similar ceramic protective undercoating instead of other traditional protective undercoating methods. I think others here have mentioned doing something similar to this too. I do consider both of these good investments especially living in Michigan.

Thank you. Well, two silvers down and more to go for USER=138599]@daisy555[/USER]. But as I said to each their own. And a complete color change ppf can cost more than a new paint job. LoL. Now I need a new set of bronze or dark/burnished gold 17" wheels. Some matching badges... etc. LoL

Salt belt... even worse than NY. Good luck there! Yeah, had my 2013, and 2017 ppf'd on the front and it worked wonders compared to my poor 2008 and 2011; the hood and front bumper were full of paint chips and dings from road salts and rocks and things. I hope your under carriage will cover what you hope it will. Make sure the coating is going on the right places and not just on the under carriage shielding.
My front brakes on my 2017 suffered rust jacking in the pads just after 3.5 years. Caused gauges on the rotors too. Was pretty mad and asked the dealership if I could see only because I never had that problem on previous models. The brakes usually last like forever! ooops turned into a bit of a salt belt rant. Best wishes on your ceramic endeavors! Gotta look into it further.
