If it were not so aggravating, this would be an interesting puzzle

Neither I my my dealer parts dept can find the diagram for this, let alone the clip P/N.

The context photo is taken from between the two radiator fans (fan shroud on left, air intake on right.) looking towards passenger side of engine bay.

Purple line is the (23mm diam) coolant hose held by these clips. It comes out of radiator(?) in the distance, goes horizontally toward camera, then (not in photo) bends straight down, then bends toward engine.

I have used red highlighter to show the two clips at this level (one removed for photo). There is one more down below (cracked, not holding hose which wobbles a lot. Concerned about both failure and noise.)

    Ideas/pointers?

Have a gajilloon of them . It's a hose guide I don't know what Toyota calls them you should have no trouble finding them on whatever parts break down you looking at they have them all over the generation 2 also. I did have some after I stripped My generation threes down pretty good before sending them off but I've no idea what Toyoda call em

Definitely NOT the hose *clamp* (which goes at the end of the hose.)

Those tie straps look interesting, but obviously not the same -- these allow popping the hose in and out...

What he's looking for looks like a 3/4 of the diameter of the hose the hose pops into this plastic circle and the other end pop in a 6mm or 10 mm hole in chassis it's like a hose guide I've seen em two together with swivel in middle to turn a corner of course with preformed hose . I'll have to go see if they're s part number in the plastic.

SOLVED IT! AND, I realized the confusion is most likely due to a strange anomaly I learned decades ago about some elements in Korean culture, that apparently can happen in Japanese culture as well.

    Problem solved up front:
    • These clips are for the Inverter Coolant Hose, which goes from the radiator to the (CVT?) transaxle. (Why "inverter" coolant when it doesn't go to the Inverter, I have no idea)
    • P/N is 90469-22001
    • Diagram is Inverter Cooling (see below)
Lesson learned while in Seoul Korea long ago: I had a lunch meeting with a top scientist in Korea. He has lived in Seoul his whole life. Came in late, grumbling... got lost on the way! Why? Because street signs don't relate to where you ARE but where you are GOING?!! (eg instead of "Main St" it might say "To City Hall").

So, even though these clips mount on the radiator fan shroud... the distant destination of the hose is the transaxle which is considered part of the Inverter Cooling system. So to find this one must look at the Inverter Cooling diagram. Got it?! :-D

I suspect this may help me in the future.

Oh, but it does, it does!

Behold the reservoir (G92A0A) feeding down to the pump (G9040), pumping into the transaxle (through hose G9227A), picking up transaxle heat and carrying it to the radiator (through your favorite hose) to be cooled, with the nice cool flow fresh from the radiator going then to the inverter, cooling the electronics, and returning to the reservoir.

Ahhh!!! So it's the inverter-transaxle cooling system. :)

The one that doesn't cool the engine. :)
