These 15 inch wheels look so much better without the plastic hub caps IMO. - Anyone know if they make a center cap for them and what size? - Are these considered one of the lighter weight 15 inch wheels?
There’s also knock-off caps, for maybe 25% of the price. Our 2010 CDN touring has the stock 17” rims, came with those caps. I bought a set of the knock-offs (for some 15”plug-in Prius rims I’d acquired): eBay seller, described them as “Genuine Toyota”, but between the fit, and low price, evidently not. The main wrinkle: they wouldn’t seat properly, some excessive material in the wrong spot. A little Dremel work and they seat properly, and look good. third and fourth gens are the same hub diameter, but Toyota in their wisdom shifted an internal groove position, the groove that the cap’s locking jaws latch into, so you need to verify that.
The plastic hub caps protects your aluminum rims from curb rash, if you do a lot of parallel parking. Mine looks like crap, but the rims are perfect. Something to think about.... You can pull off and toss the plastic hub caps, just before you sell the car - more curb appeal.
