Mendel: I know, I know, it is a stupid vegetable peeler.

I usually use a small kitchen knife, but wifey used an old peeler for years until she threw it down one day and insisted on:
    https://www.oxo.com/swivel-peeler-349.html?srsltid=AfmBOopRp3M2YkMds8Znw9Xmz4xR1HoAdiXxVZo1fxcO3ZV8_8b3z0b2

Having been married nearly 40 years, I know when to fight with wife about something, which is hardly ever as even if you win you lose.

I will never admit it to her, but this peeler is very, very good. I paid $10 USD a couple years ago. I still use a knife when she is around, but that peeler is quick, easy and does a better job, though I will never admit it to her.

Oxo makes good stuff. Just replaced a no name undercabinet paper towel holder that has driven me crazy for 15 years with their countertop model. Should have done it years ago.

I'm not here to entertain, but if you enjoy me trying to battle stupidity, that's fine.

Sure sign of a troll; provoking someone into reacting, and then blaming them as a troll.

I guess Paul started this thread, so maybe Paul doesn't mind having the topic veer off.

But it'd also be possible to try to keep this thread more about things that are or aren't built to last.

More general feelings around whether Paul suffers unjust persecution on PriusChat—or has some role in contributing to what he feels as persecution—can already be discussed on two threads he's already created for that:

How to get kicked for no reason at all | PriusChat

The price we pay | PriusChat

Somehow I became a target for trolls, who try to get me to react to their antagonistic insults.
    Not this time.

I'm fortunate that my wife (third time lucky) was built to last, using the basic minimum effort, maximum reward. She has mastered one pot cooking, peels nothing, if it needs peeling it simply doesn't get thrown in the pot :ROFLMAO:, beans do get top and tailed, I like rockmelon but I have to remove the skin and she will steal some of my bowl full . Peas come from the freezer, but that is the only frozen vegetable she will cook with, so, to link this back into the topic, eating healthy, including the skins, is one method to make the body built to last ;):)

Most everything we leave the skin on, ‘cept carrot sticks, beets, turmeric. That’s about it I think…

See how this works? No reaction is what they don't want.
