    Claim per Google:

    Studies suggesting an association
Several large-scale observational studies and reviews have reported an association between acetaminophen use during pregnancy and an increased risk of neurodevelopmental disorders like autism and ADHD in children.

    • JAMA Psychiatry (2019): A study conducted by Johns Hopkins University found that newborns with the highest levels of acetaminophen in their umbilical cord blood were about three times more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD or autism spectrum disorder.
    • Mount Sinai (2025): A review of 46 existing studies concluded there was a link between prenatal acetaminophen exposure and increased incidence of neurodevelopmental disorders.
    • 2021 International Consensus Statement: Over 90 scientists signed a statement calling for "precautionary action" and recommending that pregnant women "minimize exposure" to acetaminophen.
    Studies finding no causal link
Other, more rigorous studies have found that the observed association disappears when potential confounding factors, like genetics, are considered.

    • JAMA (2024): A large Swedish study analyzed data from nearly 2.5 million children. When comparing siblings born to the same mother (where only one was exposed to acetaminophen), researchers found no increased risk of autism. This suggests that the initial association found in other studies was likely due to familial confounding factors, such as underlying parental genetics or health issues that may contribute to both medication use and a child's neurodevelopmental outcome.
    • Autism Speaks (2024): This organization reports on studies showing no causal link. It notes that parents with neurodevelopmental disorders are more likely to use acetaminophen during pregnancy, and their children are at a higher genetic risk for the same disorders. This highlights genetics as a major variable distorting the results of some analyses.

I'm keeping mine and using as needed. At age 75:

Not much chance of me getting pregnant either. That is, if I believed I could be a Woman by wishing it. Although I could probably do well in the Olympics

Perhaps the Tylenol claims might be used to justify an abortion. Time to update the fetal abuse laws about being pregnant while using drugs or alcohol.

De Santos installed a witch doctor in Florida several years, ago.

What did everyone expect? A national witch doctor!

I believe in science, not blind faith in someone's beliefs not supported by facts and validated research.

It took heard immunity 600 years to marginalized the Black Death.

I can't wait that long for heard immunity to control COVID.

    I'll continue getting vaccines.

Yes and no. Its fecal matter and residual corpse probably remains. Also the habits that led to getting the worm in the first place.
