    Mineralogy is at the same time fascinating but also often taught in a soul-crushing way.

    Silver minerals that are red in color remind me of nanometer gold that colored red stained glass long before anyone had any idea what was going on. It may not be due to the same quantum nechanical weirdness. But I like to imagine so.

    There you got me hoping that 'nechanical' would also turn out to be some cool obscure word, but I guess it was not to be.
