Gemini is telling me the safety wonks don't encourage using the word 'inflammable' at all anymore, because it was so often misinterpreted. So I think they just want you to use 'flammable' for that, and, um, 'non-flammable' for stuff that isn't.
I am pretty sure my primary care doctor gets less for an exam from Medicare than my vet does from me for my dog. And he seems to go more often to his doctor than I do mine, and he gets me to drive him there.
Should ask the vet if they can bill Medicare - take care of two in one visit. The vet table may be a bit colder and firmer than your used to......
While it may be a "few months" before I qualify for Medicare, I may need a wellness visit now. So far this a.m. I have made six cups of coffee instead of two -- put too much water in machine -- gave the wrong dog thyroid pills, threw a spoon into the garbage and put my bag in a safe place from kids and dogs -- so safe I have not been able to find it. And only two hours until the Ducks and Beavers kickoffs...oh, guess I should check Iowa State, also. EKK, IOWA is also 12:30. Following three games at once...I need picture in a picture in a picture. kris
Sorry (NOT sorry) 'bout the Ducks. Despite my Hoosier roots It's a little strange to see their football team doing so well lately - but now that money has asserted itself and there's something approaching a playoff I'm watching non-SEC teams with a little more interest these days. I usually wear Crimson and Cream in March..... It goes well with my Bama Crimson and White swag. Probably a topic best left to a dedicated '25 CFS thread....... @Medicaid. I guess I need to find a reason to establish a relationship with a primary care physician. Every time I go in for shots they always ask who mine is and I always tell them that right now THEY are.
I got away with that for almost two decade without a primary care physician. I used to refer myself to the specialist I needed within the plan group. Didn't have an issue until their computer system closed the loophole and locked me out. Picked a guy and had a conversation with her. She said it was Ok to keep doing what I've been doing, I just need to email her so she can authorize it.
i was just reading a story about mens health. one of the many reasons the average lifespan is five years less than women is that they don't get regular check ups, and when they do get sick enough to drag themselves to the er (or more likely the so makes them go) it is sometimes too late.
Add up time NOT WASTED dealing with medical offices, insurance, bills tests, waits, actually seeing doc for 200 seconds...getting to and from... And, I would contend men more than make up those five years. Do not recall if I ever mentioned...many years ago saw my doc at grocery store...in the health aisle...said he hadn't seen me for a long while...I mumbled something about being busy. He said if it were not for wives, he would have few male patients.
i hear ya, but it's not quite that bad. if you're healthy, there isn't much paperwork, billing, insurance to deal with, waiting, traveling, and in reality, it's only 100 seconds with the doc, or more likely the pa or np these days.
I saw a recent study. In humans, the female has 2 chromosomes the same. In birds, the male has 2 chromosomes the same. In birds, the male tends to live longer than the female. The theory is the double chromosome has some bearing on the increased lifespan.
After the fasting & bloodwork. Doctors around here have you come in to get the blood & a separate visit to talk about the results.
yes, separate trip for bloodwork here as well. otherwise, they won't have results for your visit. hey, it's not perfect, but no worse than taking your car to the dealer for service.
