This year, PriusChat is teaming up with Matt C. (@mkv.crum) and his recently purchased 2025 Prius XSE PHEV. We're just weeks away until the 2025 SEMA Show (November 4–7, Las Vegas Convention Center) it’s officially crunch time !!!

The car will be on display at SEMA featuring products from many of our sponsors and supporters. For those unfamiliar, the SEMA Show is the premier automotive aftermarket event, bringing together companies, owners, and enthusiasts from around the world.

Over the years, we’ve had several cars showcased at SEMA: my Prius and Sienna, and Matt’s GR Supra. This year, Matt’s Prius joins the lineup, making it another exciting milestone for PriusChat builds.

We’ll be sharing updates here through two dedicated threads—one from my perspective and one from Matt’s—documenting the build journey, our passion for alt-fuel, and the aftermarket community. Some products may also appear in the PriusChat shop, and we’ll keep you updated !!!

The Road to SEMA 2025: Project 2025 Prius .. Continues !!!

The first 2 mods are official !!!

We installed the INNO Advanced Car Racks Roof Rack System.

Roof Rack System Components:

Hooks (Custom painted to match the vehicle color)

And topping it off with the INNO BRM850BK Cargo Box …
A sleek, low & wide, and built for both style and function.
Both products together are safe for the glass panoramic roof with no scratches or marks, while staying rock-solid and whisper-quiet on the road.

This is the lowest sitting roof rack that INNO provides, so we wanted to make sure we achieved the least amount of wind drag.

And, the box has a nice wide low design to help achieve the same goal. And surprisingly, there's alot of room inside !!!

Hello @RollingPanda !!!

We didn't do any MPG testing with just the roof rack.

For both the Rack and the Cargo box, we didn't notice a significant drop in MPG while on city streets however, on the freeway there was a drop in about 5-6 MPGs. Nothing you can't make up with good hypermiliing techniques !!!

The Cargo Box will be on the vehicle for both Show Purposes and as needed for trips only !!!
