Anyone know why the temperature on the climate remote schedule from the Toyota app only goes down to 18° ? It's good in the winter, but the whole point surely is to COOL the inside of the vehicle in the summer.....
What is the minimum temperature you can set from inside the car? I believe 65° F (about 18° C) is the minimum I can set on my Gen 4. That is also the minimum on my 1989 Supra with the old R12 freon in it that is supposed do a better job of cooling. Personally, I leave my thermostat in the car set at 75° F year round, which seems to be ideal. I'm guessing you find it too hot in whatever space you enter while everyone around you is freezing.
Isn't that the minimum setting of the climate control in the car before it goes to max cooling? In the US, it goes from 65(which is about 18) to Lo. In Lo, I think both the blower and the A/C compressor go to max. They probably don't want that to happen in an unattended vehicle. Do you really need it to be colder than 18 when you get in the vehicle?
The temperature goes from 15° to LOW There's a big difference between them. In the summer time, it's like a sauna instead of the car. 18° does absolutely nothing to cool the interior. No idea if the UK spec is different. Doubtful.
In the customization settings for the air conditioner in Techstream 18 you can set a temperature shift. I haven't tried changing it but I am guessing that is changes what happens when you set the temperature to a specific temperature. Here is a screenshot of the air conditioner customization parameters.
