Tried all the fixes and nothing thus far. I did call Toyota about a goodwill warranty. They took my info down and created a case for me. They said someone will be contacting me in 3-5 days about it. That was on Friday, so figure with the Holiday this week, I'll wait until next Tuesday that if I don't hear anything, I'll give them a buzz back and follow up.

They're NOT fixes if you don't know what's broken. Your simply groping around in the dark - IMHO.

Hopefully, you wrote down the case number - all that is being tracked; so persistence is something they (Toyota corporate) looks at. If you don't have your information together; there's a higher likelihood that they'll just 'blow you off'.
I helped a gal, last year with a defective CAT that failed in Las Vegas, Nv. The car was registered and insured in Ca.. Issue was covered under CARB warranty; but she was past the Federal warranty - which Nevada ascribes to. Toyota corporate said NO to her twice. I told her to open a case number up with Ca. consumer protection bureau then try again with Toyota corporate. They finally said yes and cut her a full refund check for fixing the car at a Vegas dealership.

    YMMV
