Managed to get them both under the battery cover. Nothing visible.
Can receive BM-2 signal in the house from garage, just about.

Any tips on BM-2 from users?
Like, maybe, phone permissions? Or security? Is the app going to drain my phone battery, lol?

First thing I saw was this. Hey, it's a work in progress, lol:

The NOCO is for another, hopefully warmer, day.

I admit I know nothing about this product but why not just buy a trickle charger?

The BM-2 is for information. The NOCO is an on board “trickle” charger, to be used when needed.

Can you turn the NOCO on and off with your phone?

i like it! not the 40% though :(
now 'someone', is going to tell you not to use a 'trickle' charger

    Nice!

12.26 V is on the low side. I would use the Noco Genius at some point to fully charge the battery.

However, it is probably around 67%. The BM2 SOC estimates are not necessarily accurate, as the sensor does not come with an integrating current sensor. Make sure that the car is in deep sleep, the battery is rested for half a day, and the key is not within ten feet.

I really never had a need for such products but the names are self explanatory. I do use trickle chargers on my UTV and gas generator only because I don’t use them regularly. I guess my question was more to is there a need for them on your daily driver?

I saw a periodic parasitic draw last nighty while the car was parked in the garage.
    It occurred every 2-3 hours.
The periodic draws stopped after midnight, which is a good thing.
Car was unlocked, thumb drive plugged in, ~33F in garage, fob inside house.
Toyota Connected 'waived', but not physically disabled.
Something seemed to run for a few minutes, which drew down the battery voltage thereafter-almost like a motor.
Is there some kind of pollution pump (fuel vapors?) that could be the culprit?

upload_2025-12-10_8-30-30.png Well, I thought I'd see if my fob was in range from the kitchen counter out to the garage, so I hit the Panic Button. Yes, it did set it off, so as far as isolating the fob, I guess I didn't.
edit: Although, it's not near enough to do the near field stuff, like turn on the lights when the door is locked (just one example, I'm sure there are many, lol.)

Yeah, EVAP turns on periodically, but I thought it was once a day.

    Well dig this:
For laughs I tried the app on my MacBook Pro.
    Seems to work perfectly!
Plus, I think the Bluetooth range may be greater.
edit: Same size display as phone.
Since it records 31 days of data when out of sync, may just as well use the MacBook and save any battery drain on the phone. Maybe there'd be a need for it on the road, coming home after a vacation and preemptively checking battery strength before turning on car.
edit3: Wait a sec...I pushed the green window arrows button and it expanded to the entire screen!
Perhaps I shouldn't have app on constantly for car battery drain purposes-unclear if 1.5mA drain is when it's synched. Seems to be updating charts constantly.

    Can't resize, but still cool:

I have two cars with BM2's installed. I have the App that can monitor up to 4 devices and battery drain on my iPhone is low.

With the MacBook, I think I would get notifications for low battery on both the iPhone and the MacBook. I disabled the location setting permission on the MacBook. Hey, it's a work in progress. It is a very cool toy, though. And potentially quite useful.

It looks like you have already fully charged it with Noco Genius, no? The battery voltage seems to be near 12.64 V, which is a 100% SOC for a flooded cell lead–acid battery.

You can hover over the graph with your mouse or finger, and it will tell you the exact voltage. What is the voltage at 6–7 AM on that flat part of the curve where the battery is rested and there is minimal drain?

This morning at 7 AM it was 12.66 V.
The low reading I got initially was just when I first installed the device, so maybe throw out that observation.
You can see a degradation though with recent reading. I'm not sure if I'll ever get to the point of extrapolating out to days-until-dead, never mind actually observing it, since I like/need to drive every day. It'll also be interesting to see behavior in summer.

That is actually very good, about a 102% SOC for a flooded-cell lead–acid battery, so, slightly overcharged.

That must be because at frigid temperatures, the BMS always charges the battery at about 14.1 V, which is an effect I never see in the mild-climate Southern California.

My GEN5 is charging at 14.4, maybe an occasional 14.3, per OBDC as well as the BM-2.
