Does anybody know anything about these Hankook Kinergy XPs? Hankook Kinergy XP H446 All Season 195/50R19 88V Passenger Tire - Walmart.com

I see that the Goodyear Assurance Maxlife2 in the 195/50R19 size is now available to order in the US: Discount Tire | Tires and Wheels for Sale | Online & In-Person

There is also a Toyo winter tire in that size that I wasn't aware of earlier: Discount Tire | Tires and Wheels for Sale | Online & In-Person

Original design for Prius was to use Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tires for maximum MPG. I've seen too many Prius owners go from 50mpg down to 40mpg because they bought "safest" tires...

Not sure about Gen5 Prius but for Gen2 I've always used Bridegestone Ecopias and then pump up tire pressures as high as Michelin Energy Savers max PSI. I'm not sure they make those particular Michelin anymore though...

For a decade or longer Costco would sell both of the ones mentioned above and alternate the discount on each brand every other month.

Had a Kinergy line on the Sonic and maybe one other car. Wouldn't worry about putting them on the Outback. It is Hankook's LRR line.

The Ecopias that came on my '26 state a max pressure of 44 psi. I've the Michelin Energies on my TDI Beetle-stock-best tires ever-but higher max pressure as I recall-in the 50's.

Most passenger car tires are made to 3 and 3.5 bar for max pressure, with a few 2.5. That's 38, 44, and 53 with rounding in psi.

Setting the tires to max sidewall could lead to faster wear of the center tread. Keep an eye of tread depth.

Still have plenty of tread left on my 3rd set of Ecopias for a total of 200K miles at 47psi in the front and 45psi rating despite bs sidewall rating of 35psi...

For more than a decade I've never once had uneven tire wear at this tire pressure... There's literally steel belts in the tire so tire surface stays flat... This folklore of over-inflated tires ballooning up may of been valid in the early 1900's, like a hundred years ago, but balloons and modern car tires of today have no similarity other than both have air inside of them.

You got a picture of a 35 psi max rating?

Great to hear that even the tire manufacture finally admitted their lawyers got it wrong to say 35psi was best.

Had faster wear of the middle of the tires on the HHR when going high pressure. Also found it early on the rear of the Sonic. As I have said, keep an eye on tread depth across the width of the tire. More so when using extreme pressures.
Pressure that low on the tire isn't common.
Could you have been thinking of what Toyota recommended for the car?

Here is a quick comparison from consumer reports for the CrossClimate2, and Hankook Kinergy XP and the Toyo Observe GSi-6 HP. Don't see any review for the Goodyear Assurance MaxLife2. Nice to have more choices available.
