Toyota Unveils the Powerful and Purely Hybrid Next Generation Camry

I would think they are abundant here. But if not, what is?

I know the hybrid Avalon is not popular here. I'm not sure that I've seen any other hybrid Avalon in Colorado, other than my own.

 

I don't know... My sister moved to Colorado Springs and told me that people don't drive Prius much where she lives because they suck in cold weather. Beyond that I don't know much.

 

Maybe I should answer my own question. I've only lived here for the past 50-some-odd years.

Other than the typical full-sized SUVs and pickups, this place is also referred to as "the Subaru capital of the world."

 

So, a Prius V replacement?? My son replaced his with a RAV4 Prime

 

i have had no issues with my 2-25 in the past year. I have not moved it in a week though. The 2025 Camry battery cannot take people just using the multimedia usit in a mode other than READY though. It is a flooded maintenance free battery with a vent.

 

That's one swaddled battery.

 

I bought a self-heating LFP battery and put it in my Avalon. I works pretty well I must say.

 

It is in a side compartment of the trunk under a panel, much like the Gen 2 & 3 Prius. The car is white so perhaps that color is distracting you.

 

i thought all batteries self heated when overloaded.

 

The Li-Time battery I got:

• 41 °F (5 °C) and below: Any charge current applied to the battery is routed through heating pads between the cells to heat the battery.
• 32 °F (0 °C) and below: Switches on a diode so that the battery itself can only discharge. Now all charge current goes through the heating pads.
• -4 °F (-20 °C) and below: Switches off discharge too, so now the battery cannot charge nor discharge. All charge current still goes through the heating pads.

So I got a Li-Time LFP charger along with this battery that I use when it's freezing cold out. This keeps the battery warm automatically because any battery temp below 40 °F (4 °C) takes charging current and routes it through the pads.

 

I don’t know her habits, anything is possible.
She’s never had a problem in the past with accords, this is her first Camry, though her husband has had a gasser for 10 years

 

In my opinion. compared to other cars, the battery does not like those kind of draws, You are the HyCam expert though. My only previous hybrid ownership was a Gen 4 Prius.

 

No problems with our 3 different generations, but we drive almost every day, cars are garaged and we know not to do anything unless it’s in ready

 

5 below zero shouldn’t kill a one year old battery, unless it’s already low

 

i actually started muine today & moved it. I think out lowest temperature recently was 8 degrees.
I really wish there was a PHEV Camry.
