Forty minutes to the first play?

Too much noise and racket and not enough football.

Always without sound, tho sometimes on college ball I will watch broadcast without sound and turn on local radio to hear the local guys do the play-by-play

This ain’t the Brady Bunch. Ay Dios mio.

Seattle quarterback Darnold makes the other guy look darn young.

Seattle field goaler Jason Myers would be the first MVP at that position if he can keep it up (and between the sticks), and if other Seahawks get set aside. QB seems more likely, but that would be darn conventional.

Despair over hyper commercialization of Super Bowls might be better directed at college football following the same path.

Halftime show was mostly performed in Spanish; another first. I’d say having it so while parts of US are mired in ICE shows national greatness. It’s a bit like 1936 Summer Olympics opening ceremony featuring a Klezmer band.

    ROTLMAO!

A Seattle player caught the ball and hit from behind, shot over the first down line..

Both teams are excellent players but Seattle makes fewer screw-ups. It ain't over until it is over but 19-0 is pretty definitive.

New England got a TD, good.

Have never been a hard American big three fan (American football, baseball, or basketball. Hockey either, but respect how rough it is). Motorsports fan with few exceptions. WRC and MotoGP do much better keeping me falling asleep.

That is how I treat nearly all pro sports.

Today was the first game I've watch in 11 years.

Chris Collingsworth is a pretty good color analyst. This game was pretty dull until the outcome was certain. I think Seattle let up at that point.

I imagine people who only watch Superbowls are less than impressed with pro football.

Even the commercials were weak this year.

I must admit that sometime in the next few weeks I will search the tubes to see if there's an interesting commercial - but I haven't heard any buzz about them this year so I might get distracted by a squirrel this year.....

    No sound... could be viable.
Some of the trained announcers are, well, not so trained and full of "it".

I too recall many watching baseball on TV w/ sound muted and radio play-by-play for voice.

Formula 1 racing can be similar.
The announcers may not add value; listening to engine/ car sounds only might be more insightful.

The Duncan Doughnut commercial was pretty good.

I don't understand how no one seemed to be able to catch the ball until about the 4th quarter.

We turned the mute on and off. Overall, I don't see how it hurt anything.

Idk about darnold, but I thought the drake held the ball a millisecond too long, allowing the Seattle defenders to get there in the nick of time

I'm not sure who is who, but it seemed like some of them would run the ball right into the offense of the other team.

"You're not tackling me! Here, let me make it easier and just jump right in the middle of y'all."

I'm no fubo (or any other pro sports) enthusiast, but . . .

Isn't that the primary job of the defensive squads, to do their best to prevent the other team from catching and running the ball? No one gets a red carpet to the goal line. Both teams were known for their very strong defenses, and both where showing it for the first 3/4ths of the game. It wasn't until the final quarter that either offense made much headway in figuring out how to get around those defenders.

Clearly both teams made it there with top defenses. The Patriots had an easier schedule to win because of their poor finish in the previous season. Both quarterbacks were disrupted by the opponents defense but the more experienced guy with Seattle knew how to throw it away or scramble better than the Patriots second year guy who suffered multiple turnovers that lost the game for the Patriots.

No one says it was a great game; often superbowls are a letdown compared to several of the playoff games.

The AI commercials suggesting AI is ready to take jobs was a downer as well. Regardless if its true or not.

Do we miss Kansas City now? Yes we do.
