The (definitely NOT caused by a lab leak) Covid is not even close to the deadliest known virus in History.
That's just what some governments WANT you to believe.

In recent times it struggles to crack the top five.
The so called "Spanish" flu (Fort Riley, KS) killed more folks in the early 20th century and AIDS is estimated to have caused far more deaths. Measles has killed off whole civilizations.
Rabies is one of the deadliest viruses by raw mortality rate (near 100%) but it's not much of a 'spreader.'
Ebola can be a 90% killer without heroic treatment, and with it you're looking at a coin-toss.

Smallpox is probably the best (worst) combination of mortality and virulence.
It's killed hundreds of millions of humans and those 70% who survive are often left with disfiguring scarring and other long term effects like sterility.
Just ask George Washington's descendants.

The box of N95s I use, does not say that.

When I was referred to and visited a new medical specialist during the Covid era, his very first comment was that he was impressed I was wearing the exact same brand and model of N95 that he was.

Gases and fumes and vapors are a very different topic. N95s are only for particulates, and are very clearly not intended for fumes and vapors.

Fumes and vapors aren't even remotely analogous to mosquitoes here. They are more like . . . gases.

Holding it in front of my face, is far better than funneling it into my nose.

That depends on the particle sizes and filter ratings. Plenty of actual tests show the right filters performing quite well.

I am well aware that the U.S. funded some staff in very many foreign labs for a long time, since about Bush #1, both to train them in modern practices, and also to have U.S. eyes and ears stationed around the world in order to get rapid advance warning of emerging diseases and whatever other biological threats. Some of this was even funded under National Security budgets. Wuhan was just one of the very many such labs.

So now you want me to believe that face masks automagically attract viruses the way static charges attract dust, while bare faces automagically repel them. Uh huh. Yeah. Riigghhtt.
