I have never been a Twitter/X fan as it seemed to be “all mouth” and no ears. But local news reports Elon lost a case where he is accused of Twitter stock manipulation:

Per the news reports, some former Twitter stock holders may get ‘billions’ of dollars of penalties from Musk. Personally, a pox on both their houses.

Well looks like Musk gets another big payout:

Given the effect on the airlines, they probably should have included ‘TSA’ and other aviation costs as part of doing bidness. Just include that as part of commercial aviation “costs.”

USA General aviation has been dying since I first soloed in part because the technology froze in the 1940s. Yet the Ukrainians have become very adept at automated, general aviation sized ordnance. I would have no problem with a Ukrainian general aviation aircraft with no pilot controls other than destination. Automate from ‘chocks to stop.’

I am tired of reading the same old ‘pilot error’ crash reports and deaths: (1) flying into cumulus granite clouds; (2) running out of fuel; (3) poor emergency landing choices, and; (4) gliding into a stall-spin. We're primates, not f*ckin birds whose brains are better at aviation than we are.

It is the persistence of regulations that is the problem. IMHO, they should always have a 10-20 year expiration date. This gives clever people an incentive to invent a better, cheaper, way to accomplish the same goal.

I wouldn’t be interested in flying in unregulated airplanes

A civil suit so just actual loss and lawyer fees. Sometimes additional (too often excessive) penalty fees are tacked on.

I still have my Experimental Aircraft Association membership card. Recently, I gave my homebuilt airplane away after time and priorities changed.

By the current administration that pardoned the Jan 6 thugs?

Well maybe not. They have shown no skills or successes at their other 'revenge' prosecutions. His close association means joining those whom the sociopath in Chief likes to backstab. More likely, another pardoned MAGAot would like to shoot Musk ... or perhaps a former employee fired to meet a Musk "quota."

In 2003 the Supreme Court made it possible for Nike to get away with lying about seat shop labor as a right to free speech issue... So the logical next step is more SCOTUS bribery that leads to a ruling that Musk is allowed to lie in ways that cost people billions as long as he's willing to make it worth 6 SCOTUS members personal benefit because they're the highest court in the land and its no longer about law and order, it's about get all you can for yourself while you have a chance.
