i'm looking to get a second set of wheels for snow tires. Someone locally is selling some 2021 Prius wheels for a good price and i'm wondering if they will fit? They have the same bolt pattern and rim size, but the wheel offset in the 2021 wheels is 40mm as opposed to 45mm in the 2010 wheels. Will putting a wheel with a 40mm offset on a 2010 Prius cause any problems? Thanks.
Offset of 3rd generation was 45 mm only with P195/65R15 wheels, not with P215/45R1. 2021 have been the same, but I'm not certain.
They'll vote right up you'll be driving the car pretty uneventful. Tire sizes available to make things not rub or hit
I'm pretty sure gen 3 and 4 wheels/tires are interchangeable. Except for the centre caps: gen 3 caps won't lock properly in gen 4, the groove on the inside of the bore (that centre cap tabs lock on) is a different dim setback If you read tom's missives aloud it can help.
