Hello I rebuilt the suspension on a 2005 Prius, lower control arms struts bearings the works. I took it in for an alignment and it seems I need a shim to fix the camber and toe on the rear left (REAR IS NON ADJUSTABLE). Can anyone tell my what shim I need to buy and what to set it to? Or what it should cost to take it to a shop as I dont have the equipment to do this work

That's a lot of negative camber on that left side . Bent is my first thought . My guys at the shop would connect a hydraulic device to the beam back they're and bend the camber back down . I don't know if a shim will correct that much. You should have talked to the alignment guy usually they clued in.

Feels like there is information missing here.

Was the car in an accident? That corner is off on all 3 parameters.

If the car wasn't bent, then perhaps review whatever you did to rebuild it. Missing a couple of washers or something.

Or maybe have a body shop look at it. They have the tools to measure exactly which part of the car is not where it should be, and that will likely indicate why the alignment is off.

Yes I got car for 600 it was in a front end fender bender. I can get a rear dead axle at the local yard for 150 I think this is the best option. Would you agree?

Why would the rear be off it the damage was in the front? Yet another reason to have a body shop look at it. Now you need to confirm that the thing wasn't welded together out of two cars, or something like that.

Sure give it a whirl. Generally it's about 150 to set the car on frame table maybe could be done for 360 ish . maybe not.

If the existing rear suspension is bent and the body is straight that will fix it.

If it is the other way around it is a waste of time and money. You will end up with two perfectly good sets of rear suspension and no progress at all on the real problem.

Look at u it construction of rear . Look at the box sections closely .look for twists buckles etc .you don't see any of that.you maybe ok.can not hurt to try it. I mean a bump of approx 1 degree is tough to see .you could almost stand the rear axle on hi stands .take an iron digging bar it's about six feet long you mite get in in rear axle.you may be able to bend it down towards ground.you mite be able to put a magnetic chamber gauge on the axle to get some sort of a reading. Would be hit or miss for sure.

why not just spend 10 bucks on a shim kit from Rock Auto?
You don't have to get it to 0, so there's plenty of options even with that number
