    Safety isn't the only concern. You can charge LFP to 100% without the worry of degradation that happens with the other chemistries. LFP also doesn't have the concerns that come up with using cobalt.

    I've been charging batteries for decades, is the concern overblown, other than cheap Chinese junk?

    Japanese lithium cells are still the best and most trusted. Panasonic made them for Tesla and Toyota. But the new "wild fires" happening are now with ebikes, escooters and power banks. Most if not all Made in China. I won't be surprise if more laws are going to restrict their sales until they have been cleared for safety. But hopefully by that time better chemistry takes the market. The LTO cell's I'm using for solar off grid are made in Japan.

    When you think about it. The three most advanced countries that went to war in WW2 make the best products. USA, Germany and Japan. Because to win a war you need to build reliable machines.

    But now we are seeing a time where China is building almost everything, very fast and getting better.
