Lot's of people shouldn't be on here, but they are. They are nasty!
I just block them. And report them. That's all you can do.

Just try to be nice, and not get into any fights. Best to say nothing when they start attacking.
Most of the people on here are nice and will provide good info. But as always, there are those
    few trouble makers....

Or if "say nothing" would mean being out of the conversation, you can also just stay in the conversation, but keep it about the topic, not about the person.

If the person "attacking" said something about the technical topic, you say something about the technical topic. If the person said something about your momma, you say something about the technical topic.

Mudder does good work, and has plenty of technical on-topic things to say, but I did see him get briefly blocked by the mods a while back, and it looked like it was because he made it too easy for attackers to bait him into replies that didn't stick to the technical topic.

Mudder would respond to every comment no matter how off base it was. In fact he was proved correct almost every time because he possessed the education, experience and resources most lacked. But feeding the trolls was and is never a good strategy.

He would indeed, but sometimes the comment he was responding to would have some, shall we say, non-technical content in it, and it was hard for him to step back from responding in kind.

It was too bad, because it did end up with that temporary block for him, and none for the people baiting him, that I ever saw.

Anything I've posted publicly is fair game. This is a public forum, so do whatever you want with the posts.

Regardless, you might get booted anyway. I was banned for several months for responding non-technically to non-technical cynics. You're not missing much if you get banned from priuschat.

In total fairness, @AzusaPrius was briefly banned for maybe a week.

I asked SaltyHybrid if they had any input and got this regarding their BMS statement:

"LOL... That is copying our model, minus the "Dr. Prius certified" part.

Then I asked if they had any questions for innrg and got this:

"I do not have any questions, I know exactly what will happen when things go south with NCM lithium, those guys don't even know how a Prius works, they are just merchants that make money and get out."

Yes, INNRG's 'BMS' design is functionally identical to NexPower's. In short, it's a fixed-voltage analog discharge comparator, which means the cell will discharge whenever it's above a predefined voltage. The primary difference between INNRG and NexPower's 'BMS' designs is that INNRG's 'BMS' has two analog comparators, which means the cell is discharged at half power above voltage A, and at full power at (higher) voltage B. Neither design is an actual BMS, hence my quote marks.

For once, I completely agree with Jack/NexPower's statement. That's twice in one week!
