Hello everyone. I finally got the DR Prius app with a compatible scanner and ran the battery life expectancy and showed 60% life. The battery still has factory warranty so my question is; Toyota should cover the replacement of the battery because is low? Should I sell the car ASAP to not have problems with it? Any suggestions will be really apreciated
toyota will not warranty a working battery. they state that batteries degrade over time and miles, and warranty failure only. this would be the car actually throwing a code. how many miles on her? idk how accurate the app is
it would be very unusual for a battery that new with low mileage to be down to 60%. how are the mpg's?
But this number totally depends on how you drive. Meaningless by itself. Compared to the exact same driving style a year ago might mean something.
