Hi there, after a minor accident I get some error message on dash. It says system malfunction see your dealer. It’s some pre-collision icons lit up on dash. I took it to dealer and they pulled out X2036 permanent error code. Dealer notes: FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR OPTICAL AXIS ADJUSTMENT AND THEN RECALIBRATION NEEDED. The dealer wants $800 for radar adjustment and $1200 recalibration. Does anyone knows if there’s any independent shops doing this sorts of works? Thank you
Search your area for an ADAS shop. Recalibrations are pretty much all they do. They should do it faster, better, and cheaper. It's still going to be multiple hundreds of dollars, but it shouldn't get close to a thousand. ADAS isn't a brand, it's a description. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. The shop or shops in your area might have ADAS in their name, or it might just be in the description of their services. A google search should help you. "ADAS shop near me"
