Oh I meant it as an actual valet key. Going to model a key head that fits into the slot with the immo chip and then affix a cut corolla key. Not that I'm ever going to valet park my prius. I kind of just want to make one. Or use it as a hide-a-key.

The smart key box is right below your display. The immo box is behind the fresh air intake on pass side under dash. I'd think you'd be resetting immo . But usually just reading immo box to get cars numbers and then copy that to any capable remote. Any color any style remote you like as long as it's got the correct chip code ba id4 bh yada yada . Generally what I've seen is we read the car by the key antenna wireless no plugging into boxes 30 pin or other wise. The physical connection to the OBD2 port on the vehicle is required when you're getting ready to write new fobs or remotes under ALK scenarios. Now if just renewing a dead fob lost comm etc then this is not ALK. Different actions and steps taken.

Can you explain in more detail the "program a new immobilizer chip"? Where did you source this blank or programmable immo chip? Did the xHorse read the registered immo chip ID from your car and clone it to the new chip?

You should all check out videos on obd365 you can see many of these tools work. But yes that's a way to go it . On these types of Prius that we have here Gen 2 or 3 it's easier to wirelessly read Info as the 30mpin immo box is hard to reach for a locksmith or somebody doing this work. In the newer models you could take a side off the edge of the glove box on the passenger door and access the immo 30 pin plug and receptacle in 30 seconds .

Watch the first half of this video. He's using a dedicated key tool from the same manufacturer and a different OBD module, but the process is the same with the mobile app and the OBD-FT. Plug in OBD-FT in the OBD2 slot in the Prius. Select Immo Programming. Select Type 2 4D. Reset Immobilizer ECU. This process will reset the Prius' immobilizer and put it into a state of new programming/registration. Follow the steps to program a new 4d67 chip. Then close out programming mode on the Prius by inserting the newly programmed key into the slot or opening the door. I just bought a new smart key fob that included the correct 4d67 chip. You can find the actual 4D67 chip online for a few bucks at locksmith vendors or ebay.

This process does no cloning or reading from the Prius' old immobilizer code/registration, it's a full wipe and reprogram.

EDIT: I am a little hesitant on posting this as it could be used for nefarious actions. Mods if you think it should be deleted, please do so. I just wanted it documented somewhere so frustrated Prius owners could have a way to fix a half working key without the cost of going to the dealer or a locksmith.

Yes I am not wanting to do that . I'm using the tool and retrieving the immo information to burn it on new fob . But keeping all the old original immo numbers.

That's what I wanted to do to, but not enough information online for me to confidently pick up a tool. The old KM100 before the toyota delete should have been able to do this, and I think the Key Max Pro can do this, but I just needed my keys working again.

EDIT: I even emailed eoneboss about their TLK3 and they said it wasn't compatible even though it says 4d is compatible with it. I know you suggested the TLK1 too, but I didn't have the original immo chip anymore.
