So now that we got the opinions, diversions and history lessons out of the way...

The current government of Iran has made it into a terrorist Country, operating with "at least" 3-4 additional terrorist proxy groups. The only reason they have not been dealt with until now is because they had easy oil. Previous US Presidents have failed at different levels to handle them. Their people finally rose up against them and were slaughtered by the 10's of thousands. They either have nukes or are/were on the verge of having them and they have/had the missile capability to really f--k things up in this world...with proven and expressed intent to do so.

Whether you vote D or R...you like President Trump or hate him...has nothing to do with any of this. At least he's doing something...not just talking about it.

    YMMV

One way to avoid being asked about "super secret" sources is to identify them when you post. They're not secret then.

I'm not saying it's always necessary to go as far as the standards of source acknowledgment and verification used on Wikipedia—but even going partway that far would markedly improve a typical forum post.

Cardone was owned by the now bankrupt company First Brands, which is why Fram products aren’t being made now, because they owned Fram. First Brands owned quite a number of auto parts suppliers.
So who added “family owned” to your information? No one is buying up these First Brand auto parts companies and shutting them down.

Holy cow, Carter wasn’t in office, Reagan was. Carter was the leader of the Carter Center, that’s your story? LOL

Sounds like you need to unfilter and read some original source.

I stopped counting how many times he declared victory over Iran and at least four ‘attack’ incidents. I have a low expectation of Trump’s ability to tell us what is going on in the theater.

    Perhaps you can tell us?
    • Peace negotiations going on?
    • Military attacks going on?
    • Gulf States are happy with Trump’s war on Iran?
    • In addition to Israel, what other allies are there?

As I said before...you get the same information I get. But...he did bomb the sh-t out of them, killed their top layers of government and destroyed much if not most all their military capabilities. I judge according to actions...not words.

That is incorrect. Bush the younger was in office at the time. Carter and the Carter Center were purported observers.

Like the original source that had you thinking Reagan was the president in 2004?

Indeed, even overseas. There were a few Persians at my college when I was going there in the late '70s. The revolution happened and all of a sudden the women were all scarved up and went from wearing jeans to long dresses. Then they disappeared. Whatever the relative repressiveness of the two regimes, there isn't much question that women were generally better off before religious fanatics took over in Iran. (Unfortunately this is often the case for any religion that is in control of a particular country. One reason "The Handmaid's Tale" resonates - it isn't all that much of a stretch.)

    Apparently not.

Nothing I wrote suggested to you that your post was diminished by your wikipedia link. I agree that wikipedia pages can contain valid authorities, but wiki itself isn't one even before you get to its known problem on political topics. I didn't take issue with much of what you wrote, but wikipedia doesn't enhance it either.

I took your post for what it said and responded to it rather than requesting sources you used to get to your position. There is no discourtesy in that.

That's not right. They grow the virus in eggs (which does not "alter it", although some mutations may occur as they would in any growth scenario), purify it, kill it, and use it as the antigen in the vaccine. The problem with using eggs is that you need all those eggs in the first place, they have to be temperature regulated during growth, some people are allergic to egg components, and it is hard to clean 100% of egg proteins away from the virus. RNA vaccines like the Covid ones from Moderna and Pfizer avoid most of these issues.

It is hardly worth saying, but in this thread it may be mandatory - none of these vaccines cause Autism. Guillain-Barre syndrome is really a possible side effect. The rate among people who actually catch the flu is much higher though, with the ratio between the two rates being somewhere between 7 and 20. For the vaccine it isn't much of a personal risk (worst estimate, about 3 cases per million people vaccinated) but over a population of 350 million that is around a thousand people a year. Sounds terrible, but that would be 7000 to 20000 cases for unvaccinated people who caught the flu, plus all the mayhem that the flu itself causes.

No source at all, I didn’t want to take the time as it doesn’t matter, but thought of it. Whether 1981 or 2004, he was out of office. 23 years later and you think Carter certified votes in Venezuela, because they were observers, that’s a heck of a story, even worse. LOL That’s what you stated, he certified the votes. At least there is some levity here. I do see how right wingers add words.
Honestly it gets time consuming to have to debunk right wing stories when they don’t take the time themselves to do the research.

Whats that ttatp again? who even cares at this point, just fill it and take the receipt, don’t look at it. Tomorrow he reverses and changes his mind, completely out of control.

It’s very funny here, writing about Jimmy Carter observations decades ago and ignoring 47’s misdeeds while in office. I suppose it is a defense mechanism not to see the truth happening right now. All in a 47 tax at the pump thread. LOL

Where you say "may", I've long heard "do", as in most of the time, not just sometimes. So they want some better production process.

How Flu Shot Manufacturing Forces Influenza to Mutate
Egg-Based Production Causes Virus to Target Bird Cells, Making Vaccine Less Effective

"According to a new study from scientists at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), the common practice of growing influenza vaccine components in chicken eggs disrupts the major antibody target site on the virus surface, rendering the flu vaccine less effective in humans.

“Now we can explain—at an atomic level—why egg-based vaccine production is causing problems,” said TSRI Research Associate Nicholas Wu, Ph.D., first author of the study, published recently in the journal PLOS Pathogens. ..."

The impact of egg adaptation and immune imprinting on influenza vaccine effectiveness

    "...

    • Egg adaptations can alter the antigenicity of the vaccines and reduce effectiveness.

    • Egg adaptations have been identified in most egg-based influenza vaccine viruses.
      • ..."

Also lost or damaged 42 planes and currently blocked 20% of oil causing a world wide increase in costs (see local gas prices.) But one good side effect.

The Iran war has accelerated EV, solar, and wind generation … everywhere but the USA. So future ICE vehicles made in the USA are losing their overseas markets.
I provide the background facts and data so my contribution has ‘a basis of estimate.’ Posting opinions without the facts and data behind is less convincing and more like a TACO ‘pronouncement.’

The Shah's SAVAK was brutally repressive to all political opposition, not just "retrograde muslim elements". It tortured and murdered thousands. And our CIA documents that it played a significant role in establishing it, providing both funding and training.
