I got a new battery for my 2011 Toyota Prius (from greentecauto). How can i verify that they really installed a new battery? here is a recording from dr prius with the new battery: https://youtube.com/shorts/jkJEJduvdEE here is a recording from dr prius with my old batter as a comparison: https://youtube.com/shorts/HQzmBkwLqIY and https://youtube.com/shorts/W0qOpPNf2a4 Thanks, Gerald
unless you take the cover off, you really won't know. Greentec usually installs refurbished used batteries. They will play around with their wording like "newest generation battery", but that doesn't mean anything other than it's used
they said New, as in BRAND NEW, High-Performance Cells - so its a new battery and not used: https://greentecauto.com/hybrid-battery/toyota/prius-hybrid-batteries/toyota-prius-2010-2015/2010-2015-toyota-prius-hybrid-battery-with-new-generation-cells/
A new battery from Toyota is not green. A refurbished battery from Greentec is green. Why don't you call them and ask? Maybe they are new, but not new from Toyota. Some chinese aftermarket crap that's new. For $2099, you could have gone with Toyota and not question your decision of how trustworthy is the company you purchased from
The only way is to take the top cover off the battery and see what is there. The new Greentec Auto battery is probably the cylindrical battery cells. They last about 5 years. The only thing that is concerning to me in the video of the new battery is the 30 to 36 milli-ohms internal resistance of the new battery blocks. That is high for a new battery. A new Toyota OEM battery would be about 25 to 27 mili-ohms.

There is no battery block #222. The P0A80 may be a permanent code and not an active code. You need a better scanner than Dr Prius to get the full story for the trouble codes.
It probably is a new battery, just not a very good one. The best thing to do is remove the cover and see what is there. If you do that, please post a few pictures.
These companies don't want you opening their cases. They usually have a security label on there, once opened, you lose your warranty.
