Sorry if there is a post somewhere that deals with this issue, I have searched for 2 days and not found one. recently purchased 2006 Prius 2. It has the smart key system. Car was driving fine but the fob battery needed replaced. I replaced the fob battery and now I am having issues. The SKS works when walking up to the car to unlock the doors, the fob buttons all work fine. The issue is the car started and ran once with the new battery in the fob but now the immobilizer light continuously flashes, no matter if I try the SKS starting or inserting the fob into the dash slot. If anyone can point me in any direction at all it would be greatly appreciated.
I am not sure I am clear on what you're saying here. Did the car start and run only once, and now it won't start? Are you saying the the car starts and runs, but the immobilizer light still flashes even though the car is in READY?
