Is it just a rumor? Or is it eminent? Since selling of my last PP, I have not been commenting here, but I surely will miss the chat place that was as pleasant as this place was.
Casket or cremation? I am still trying to decide. Is there an option to bury the ashes and still have the grave? I know AI can tell me. I don’t really trust AI though.
Once you get through it, it is a piece of cake, no worries about waking up, etc. Ok, I decided to search, it’s ok to have the urn buried in a plot, but you will have to go through some legalities. I actually got something done while on Priuschat active mode, so that’s a bonus. Decision is made. No waking up underground assured. I know about embalming, but just the idea of laying in a casket year after year bugs me. But I do want the headstone to at least have some evidence I lived. Even if it is just the gardeners who see it after the descendants have forgotten. Can Ashes Be Buried in a Cemetery: A Complete Guide – The Legal Guide
Oh OK. I noticed frequent site not loading recently... Hope that weren't the sign of permanent closure. But I know all good things comes to an end... sigh
Suggestions: Contact "the powers that be" via Facebook - every time I've found the forum ducked, I post a message to the Facebook user named "PriusChat" and within a day, the problem is resolved. This appears to be a backdoor way to communicate with the 'admin.' PM and share email addresses - I've already proposed exchanging email with one of my regular corespondents. Once I have his, I'll exchange test messages and store them independent of PriusChat. But I am not hard on any one solution. Google took over "groups" and we could create an independent, email "users group." Unlike this forum, there are not subgroups as much as 'threads.' I come back to PriusChat to share what I've discovered and discuss current events. Bob Wilson
@Tideland Prius : Yeah it's been flaky the last 2 weeks. Danny said he needs someone professional to look into the cause (so I guess it's beyond his level of expertise?)
Valuable information, mine will be in a cemetery in Chicago. Of course a grave can be dug by the side of any road and the ashes put in, but ashes aren’t suddenly waking up underground gasping wherever they are put. It’s first come first served the cemetery lady said, as long as it is a relative of the plots owner, which is my dad, who resides there since 1981. I think I will be up in front of the line to get a plot.
Ok... Posting this real quick while site is briefly online. I set up a downtime robot to measure how many times the site crashed by sending a ping every 5 minutes. Here's the status of this website in the past 24 hours.
Does that help, or just load it more? I hope Prius Chat survives, I have enjoyed the banter and getting first hand info on just how things are going over there. If this forum does die, it has been great knowing you all T1 Terry
Interesting thought. In a way . I suppose one could calculate the water content of air inside a cremation chamber from chemistry of combustion. Not on my list for today though. It is perhaps interesting that crematees with high body fat contents require less external fuel for ... the process, and that gets dialed in by operations staff. == PriusChat is a twisty turny place.
