They've always been good by me. My joy will come when Prius Shop carries a natural gas conversion for the Prius
Think about it! The nay-sayers of PHEV's is that the ICE is too smoggy prior to warm up. If we ran on CNG the point becomes moot. Even with a smaller tank (say only 7 gallons) and worse mpg with CNG, many would still be able to get 500 miles per tank. Plus, with a compressor like they use for the CNG honda, you'd hardly ever have to go to a filling station. CNG kit, the shade tree mechanic's dream
How 'bout it, Prius Shop ... maybe?

One more satisfied customer. I try to purchase items from the shop in the hopes that it supports Danny and the Priuschat website.
In return I've gotten great service from the shop. I've purchased 4 items, each of which was shipped promptly. In one case I was pretty disappointed with the product and they took it back and very quickly refunded my money.

    Thanks

I've purchased both the heatshield and a set of ExactMats from Danny's shop. Both came quickly and in great condition. Thanks Danny!

that heat shield is the biggest piece of garbage i've ever ordered! i've had custom heat shields for all my cars over the past several years... all have held up well... so i expected the same for my prius... NOPE! that thing started sagging within 2 weeks.... PIECE OF GARBAGE! DO NOT ORDER IT! (and yes... my velcro strap moves and is all akimbo now due to heat.... piece of garbage!

Except for the strap, mine is fine. As I said, I got it 2.5 years ago, so they might have changed, but mine doesn't "sag" in any way. It fits well and it works well. You'll want to sew the strap on to make sure it continues to stow well.

You know they have a 3 year warranty, right? Just give CanvasWorks a call and they'll do you right.

A few weeks I ago got my front heatshield and OEM rubber mats from the prius shop 1-2 weeks after ordering them. I don't think I could have gotten either of these any cheaper online elsewhere. I saw the OEM mats on ebay for a little lower price, but not after including shipping costs.

I've only used the heatshield a few times, but so far it's held up fine.
Holding this thing reminds you how huge the prius windshield is!

I've purchased several items from the PriusChat shop. Every experience has been a good one and whenever I emailed Danny with a question, he was right on top of the situation. No complaints here!

On May 20, 2008, I ordered 3 items from Prius Chat shop.
The first two arrived within an expected 10 business days, I'm still waiting on the PriusChat.com decal (the 3rd item).
I put in a request as to it's status, but sadly no response.

    Still waiting.

I only purchased the BT stiffening plate. It felt like a long wait but it was only 2 weeks I believe. I hear it takes a long time to get the prius chat stickers so I plan on making my own with my handle name in them.

Wow, I'll be interested in the follow-up responses. I'm looking at ordering a number of mods & accessories if or when our on-order 2009 CVT Touring ever arrives. But I'm real fussy about e-tail. I only like to deal with reputable sites. Whether the problem is with the Prius Shop or direct ship vendors the Prius Shop needs to be responsive. I have no desire or time to mess with non-responsive e-tailers. I've already ordered, received and am using Scangauge II on our 2000 Avalon. Excellent service, however, I need the confidence that, if there is a problem, I can readily contact someone and receive a response in a resonable amount of time. I can understand and cope with problems, but not with not being able to get reach a human being when there is a problem. Especially if they're sitting on my money and I have damage to my engine compartment because the skid-plate still hasn't arrived.

I'll will be following this thread.

P.S. I really hope that this is some kind of misunderstanding or that there is a resonable explanation. My, bookmarked, modification & accessory wish-list topped $3k long ago. I was really planning on making the Prius Shop my 1st stop when indulging my thurst for functional modifications or "just too neat to pass up" gadgets or mods. I really want the Prius Shop to be a 1st class operation. They have a great customer base, a believe most Prius Chat members are not afraid to try modifications, in fact relish them. They're, and hopely I can soon say we're, are proud of our cars, enjoy lavashing them with accessories, and don't mind spending a few bucks on a tested, proven, functional and fuel saving or ride/comfort enhansing mod. But they will not put up with customer no-service as Clark Howard would say, and the word spreads rapidly in PriusChat.

We've purchased 3 things at 2 different times... Block heater last year (tnx for install Fire Engineer!!), my wife bought me a scangauge and sun shield for my b'day this year. All came promptly and had no trouble with the scangauge discount. I'm happy :)

Only problem... how to roll up that huge sun shield without burning your hands when the temperature is 100 degrees outside and the sun shield is 250 degrees  But that's for a different thread.

i've never had any serious issues. i once lost a BT tech plate in the mail.. it happens a lot... and BT Tech was awesome about it.. they looked it up and sent me a new one.

it's not really a problem with the store.. it's the 3rd party shippers. things happen. if you have problems.. don't cry.. contact the people directly who you need to contact. only once you've done this will things get fixed.

or.. grow a pair... haha.. j/k... not...

Like I said in my post. It was a total surprise how quick the Scangauge II arrived, I hadn't preped my wife yet. What's this Honey! The USPS hadn't even realized they had received it yet. It's works great. Using it on our 2000 Avalon. Also I had asked a question and received a response within 24hrs from Brian. Great again. Then my next question and silence. I did a search to see if it was just me or what? Last post from BT Tech was 05-17-2008? So when I saw the post I was concerned. As I mentioned in my post. I can understand and live with problems and also understand problems with third party vendors, especially drop ship. What my main concern was was zero response from PriusShop, which I know is not BT TECH, but still a concern. As soon as we get our Prius I want to install, skid-plate, frame-stiffener, strut tower stiffener, headlight/fog light protectors, etc. and had said I was even interested in the Swaybar. If I order through PriusShop, I want to know I have someone there that cares about seeing that my investment purchased through PriusShop is handled properly if there is a problem. It's the silence that is deafening.

Put it on a timer to start 2 hours before your commute... you'll be at 50mpg in no time! And your GreenHybrid sig is not clickable like most on here... you might view page source to see what the problem is.

i bought mudguards 3 weeks ago and received them 2 weeks ago....less than one week between order and arrival.

They were not great at answering questions prior to the sale, but great communication after the sale.

I ordered some ExactMats and mud guards a couple weeks ago. They came in a reasonable amount of time, but the ExactMats suck. I tried contacting the PriusShop but received no response. They'll be seeing no more of my money!
