Tap, tap, tap. This thing on?

Am I the only one who lost all thread subscriptions in the move? Or is this a known issue with no solution?

I think it's known, with no immediate solution. I don't know if there is a solution or not.

I, personally, liked the non-left side user info. I might be the only one though. That aside, is there any way to have the "User online" light thingy next to the user's name instead of down at the bottom?

Yep. I figured it out on CleanMPG a while ago. Sean's light is almost always on. So is Wayne's. :p

Ah... thanks! I'm not just "special" then. I'll shut up. :)

My lights are often on... but still, there's nobody home. (No real energy was wasted for this comment. Any lights that really ARE left on are LED... but well... never mind.)

How to get to the new post page?

Hi could you please let me know if I am making a mistake?

When I post it does not appear in the View New Posts.

That happens to me too. I figured that View New Posts gets rid of threads/posts I've already seen. That's why I now use Today's Posts instead.

The problem is not your computer, but the file size limit on uploads imposed by the new software - see my earlier post. Most file types are now limited to 19.5kb, which is too small to be of use for most files. I'm sure this will be changed soon.

Thanks for restoring left-hand avatar/user-info Danny! There are a lot of things that people complain about that I think are just a matter of preference, but I strongly believe that one was a matter of readability/usability. Much appreciated!

    19.5kb Attachment File Size Limit

Thanks Sparky. I think I saw your post before, but it didn't register with me because I didn't realize how little 19.5kb was. Each photo I was trying to upload was much larger than that (2.1mb or more).

Looks great, now if we only had the year-package info it would be very nice.

    Jon,

I think under the old software, the View New Posts (or whatever it was called) showed chronologically all new posts, whether you read them or not.

Now, under the new software, the View New Posts shows chronogically all new posts that you haven't read (that's why the thread you just posted to does not appear).

Under the new software, if you want to see a chronological list of all new posts, whether you read them or not, then go to Quick Links and click on Today's Posts. Also on the Quick Links menu is the Mark Forums Read link which I believe is the same as the old Mark All Posts Read link.

yes, this happened to me too... I don't recall which thread though.

BTW, I really like that the user info is back on the left.... much less scrolling now, thanks!

Whoa, yeah,... I just popped in here, and the layout is different! :)
I do like the left side avatar thing, too... got used to it, and you know how some people are about change :)
