My entire center consol is dark… MFD, clock and radio. I believe I have checked every fuse in my 05 prius. My 12v outlets work fine. This was caused by accidentally shorting my on/off wire on my amp.

    Any ideas?

it may be a grounding problem.. then again.. maybe not.

    easy fix

That thread makes is seem difficult to fix. My installer checked the fuses with a 12 v light pen attached to a ground wire. He checked the entire car in minutes by grounding the "pen" and then probing each fuse face left and right looking for a short. He did not need to pull an fuses. He found the bad 7 amp fuse and fixed it no charge. The fuse was under the steering wheel.

One fuse controls the entire center console.

I am glad to be back to full high power audio.

    easy fix

It was a bad fuse, fixed in minutes by my installer who has the right tools and knows what he is doing.

    Fuse

Nice to know that there is a fuse under the steering wheel. This may come in handy. Glad to hear everything is powered up and back to normal.

There are three fuses that supply power to the MFD:

    15A ECU-B
    7.5A ECU-IG
    7.5A ACC

There are two fuses that supply power to the radio control head:

    15A DOME
    7.5A ACC

Since you say that both the MFD and the radio are not powered up, check the 7.5A ACC fuse first.

I located it as being the 7.5A ACC fuse
No visual indication that the fuse was bad, but when a new one was used - it worked.
    Thanks
