What is the "transfer call" soft button for when connected after making a speed dial call?

I pushed it during a call and it acted just like the on-hook wheel button in that it disconnected the call.

Can't find any mention of it in the manual.

    Help please,

    Dano

I think when you pushed it, it transferred the call back to your handset (cell).

That is exactly what it does. I use it when I am on the phone and am going to turn off the car, and/or when I am on the phone and get in the car. I think the system auto-transfers anyway in those cases, but I do it to be safe.
Also use it if someone is in the car and you want privacy. I think that is the main use...

Yea, it was disconnecting when I pushed the "transfer call" soft button when my Razr was closed. You must open the Razr (if it is programmed to disconnect when you close the lid)....hit the button and it transfers properly, hit it again and it goes back to the car speaker/mic.

It doesn't auto transfer , though

    Thanks for your inputs!

Exactly. I discovered this one day at the car wash. I was in the middle of a call on my cell in the building. When they powered on the car to move it, the call left me and went into the car - quite out of earshot! I realized that I had to disable BT on my phone and then call back, apologizing for cutting them off.
