That was a very lame come back.

Read what I wrote. I worked with the rounded numbers from the source you qouted, which amzingly enough matches what I posted earlier.

WHich is in fact correct vs the mystery numbers you pulled from a source (which I bet If I had access to will be able to show your errors).

Go troll somewhere else because the folks here are too smart to fall for your GM biased Toyota bashing. And they can also read and do math on their own.

I know it is painfull to work for GM, but don't take it out on us. Spend your time gettign better products to the customers and life will be much better. Quit hiding and step up to the plate where it matters (the showroom, not Toyota forums).

Do the math for me? What is the trade deficit created by Toyota?

Which I'm glad I don't have to do business with. Guess that is why I can't get myself to a buy a GM dealer, my dad was a Chevy man to the bone (yet I get chills to my bones everytime I set my foot on a Chevy dealers lot around here).

Funny thing is I never really liked Toyotas as they were boring and overrated to me for a very long time. They just happened to offer a product that simply blew away the competition at the time I was in the market. After some very good service we now own 3 TMC products (if Lexus counts). Something I never would have thought possible.

And this is the thing all of is trying to tell our friendly forum troll, produce the rigth product and take care of the customer and you will get lots of business.

For the record my dad is now driving Honda products and couldn't be happier. He stil longs for his old Chevys, as they just don't make them like they used to.

I grew up with all Japanese cars being cr@p. I didn't pay any attention to the changing market or quality of manufacturing for a long time. When I went to replace my Saturn there just wasn't anything out there I wanted. The Insight was close, but not enough passenger and cargo room. The Hondas didn't get the mileage I wanted. Only the Prius met all of my criteria.

My Dad is a hardcore Cadillac man. He's owned Caddy's for almost 50 years. But.....he curses the one he has now. And he swears he'll never buy another. He's angy about the constant repairs, the high cost of maintenance and repairs and all of the bells and whistles they bought the car for no longer work. (seat adjustments, bun warmers, etc. And all of the trim is falling off or looks like sh¡t) They had to have the engine rebuilt. Replacing spark plugs is an expensive nightmare. This on a car with only 60,000 miles on it. He says when he replaces his current car he's buying a......Lexus. I'm trying to talk him into a Toyota instead. He doesn't need the ego boost and he can get everything a Lexus can offer on a Toyota for a lot less money. If it weren't for the lack of trunk space, I could have them in a Cambrid. It's very likely they'll buy a Prius given their exposure to my car.

So there you have it. The American buying public in a nutshell.
