I am up to 45 MPG now with my "pimp tires and wheels"! It seems to be getting better all the time. I have 8K miles now.

What type of wax / polish do you use? The shine looks really good in the pictures.

Hi there dogfriend! I use Zaino. I think it was their normal polish.

mike. That's a clean machine. And nice job on the moldings.

I'm in North Florida. Did you get a good deal in Orlando?

I'm thinking of leaving my smallish local market and traveling down there to buy a new Prius. Seems the dealers down there do more volume and have lower prices.

It's Wildfire in Australia....same paint code (3R3) as the US Barcelona Red. Wheels are from a Celica.

The wheels are a nice touch. I knew it looked different but I couldn't put my finger on it. What kind of tyres do you have on it?

The wheels are 15", same as standard, so I could use the original tyres. We have Michelin Energy 195/60/15 here in OZ. Nice tyres...good handling, wear well, reasonably quiet.

In Australia, 35% is the maximum legal. That is what is on the car. It is "Midnight Express" film from 3M.

Mine's a Mag Grey too. Best color imho :) Looks like you got some nice good dark tint, I got some technically illegal tint on mine, not limo but close, it looks really good on the Mag.

BTW, you have a wonderfully manicured lawn. I'm jealous.

Re: Check out my new 06!

I had good tint on my 05 prius. I cannot remember what I went with. I do recall them not tinting the little window on the back, (already tinted anyway.) However his looks extra-dark. So I assume it has been aftermarket tinted also. I suppose I would also be interested in the % too.

Re: Check out my new 06!

Mine (pictured) is a 15%, and I would think his is a bit lighter, so maybe a 20-30% tint. Still plenty enough to provide privacy. One of the biggest changes I noticed after tinting my car was that I can look out the side glass and have other drivers not look back :D

Re: Check out my new 06!

Thanks Dan, I believe I'm going to try that, but I believe I went with 30/15 last time, 15 in the front because we technically aren't allowed to tint the front windows. lol I think this time I'm going to just go for it, because I want to be able to stare people down and not get shot. haha

Re: Check out my new 06!

Brad, be aware that lower numbers mean a darker window. The percent rating is the approximate average percent of white light that passes through the film, so 5% is limousine tint, 15% is what I have, and 50% in front is what you can realistically get away with here in California without being pulled over. I don't know if IL has more or less anal cops.
