Nra Sticker on my Prius, anyone else?

Is "ITMFA" in the back window close enough?

 

no stickers at all on my baby Prius!! Though I am a member of our local gun club and the NRA. And I realize that the NRA has that right wing reputation, that quite frankly is well earned. As I've said before, I am a democrat, tree-hugging, vegitarian, gun toting liberal. (liberals have the right to bear arms also, so I'm a member of an organization that helps ensure I continue to have that right!)

 

At summer camp in the late '60's, I was (pardon the lack of humility), the best in camp in riflery, for 3 yrs. running. I won several NRA certificates, and at the age of 10-12, thought little of it -- it was just something I liked to do & was good at.

After the assasinations of MLK Jr. & RFK which came over the course of just 4 months in '68, the camp director closed up the riflery program, and I never touched a rifle again.

Am a general sort of peacenik as an adult, but I still get an odd sort of wistfullness, any time I see NRA in the news ... or on a bumper.

Go figure

No stickers will touch my car, but if one did, it would be for the Texas
State Rifle Association.

 

That sentence doesn't sound too strange to me anymore.

I have to say I don't like stickers on my cars -- the windshield might be OK because you can scrape them off but they usually block some of your field of view.

I think stickers on cars are like tattoos on people -- I think they are pretty cool on other people but I don't want to be a 70 year old man with an ink blot that my grandchildren thinks is abstract art.

 

When cloaking devices are outlawed, only Romulans will have cloaking devices.

No NRA sticker on mine, although I'm a long time member and target shooter.

I am, however, searching for a gun rack for the rear window so my Prius fits in with many of the other vehicles here in Wyoming....

 

I will have a pirate Skull and Crossbones sticker going up once I wash off my back window. But no NRA sticker, I love guns but it's are so hard to Obtain a licence for them here in NJ. I even Got a picture or 3 up on my myspace with guns, But thats to scare off the little kids who keep trying to friend request me.

 

Sorry, but the day I put a sticker for any organization, especially one like the NRA, on my car, will be the day I'm dead, so never. NRA is like a political organization to me, biggest bunch of crooks there is, as far as I am concern, all they want is money for their elite leaders and lobbyists to live high on the hog at the expense of their blind lemming followers.

its funny to see that a realy old thing (from when there where still indians fights going on in america) is stil needed for some people

its the same here in europe with the german "autobahn" where you can stil drive unlimited speed

No NRA sticker or logo on car, but a long time member. Belong to three Rod & Gun clubs. I definitely support the NRA. The only magnet on the car is "Support Our Troops".

 

I got here from searching google for "Republican Prius Club" sticker! Yep, a gun toting, America defending, war supporting conservative driving a prius. Nothing against saving $ on gas, just not into worshipping the creation, I stick to worshipping the creator. My wife couldnt believe that I'd drive a Prius, I just got it 2wks ago. My BMW Z3 has tons of conservative stickers on it and the Prius will get there shortly.

 

I think placing stickers on a car to make others aware of your political leanings or to futher segragate ourselves from each other is anti-progressive and frankly, lame.

We are closing in on a time we cannot afford to bicker over ideologies and must find common ground to work with. So by playing the liberal vs conservative or gun lover vs gun hater we are avoiding the real problems and adding to divisions that should not be there in the first place.

 

My Honda Civic sported a bumper sticker: "CAT LOVERS AGAINST THE BOMB," but the Prius doesn't have any stickers yet. I think the Civic was 3 or 4 years old before I decided it was old enough for a sticker. The Prius is 4 years old now. But since I may trade it in when the next major model revision comes out, any stickers on it might reduce the potential buyer pool.

I'm a firm believer of people having guns, I also believe that people should know what they have and be careful and protective of guns, BUT I'm NOT a believer of the NRA, so I would never have a sticker of the NRA or anything else on my Prius.

The NRA has really done more harm to its members than the members know, but you would have to be on the outside looking in to see it, they take your membership fees and live high on the hog, take vacations with members of congress, contribute huge sums of money to lobbyists, and all for what? The same members of congress they take on vacations, wouldn't vote against gun control anyway, the lobbyists enjoy taking money, allows them to live high on the hog, and no NRA contributor really wins, except the people who like to live high on the hog.
