But his wife and son might squeal on me. :p

Hey, if I go and you want to "room" together at a campground in Madison, let me know. I stayed at this campground last year and would probably do the same again. It's about 5-10 minutes from the Alliant Energy Center, and in fact it was the staging area for last year's Sunday morning driving clinics. (Can't remember -- did you help with the clinics?)

Not sure yet what I'll do for shelter. I tossed my 30-year old tent into a dumpster during last year's trip home after it repeatedly leaked during rainfalls. I might replace it with this. Or I might do Hobbit's Prius Motel routine and set up my folding tent gazebo.

I actually was there for the clinics and that seemed like a nice campground. I may take you up on that offer.

    Hi everyone, just checking in!
Whew! A lot of planning has been happening regarding Hybridfest 2008. Behind the scenes the web site is being updated with 2008 registration, hotel, and activity information. As always, thanks to everyone who has been doing the heavy lifting!

There will be an announcement soon regarding registration for everyone who is on the Hybridfest mailing list. If you have previously attended, we already have you on the mailing list. (Unless your email has changed.)

If you are not already on the mailing list, be sure to get on the list ASAP via the Hybridfest web site. Hybridfest - A Hybrid Electric Car Show and More!

Look for the "Add me to the Hybridfest Email List: " in the left hand column.

I can already feel the anticipation....

I just decided that I am going to treat myself and go to the this event in July all by myself, no kid and no dogs and no husband, he wouldn't come anyway,, and no anybody but me :D, my own little time away. I just booked myself a room for 2 nights at the Comfort Inn in Madison, I have a question. Do you have to become a Hybridfest member and pay the $60 fee in order to attend the event??? Also is there info about how much the charge is to get into the event daily??

I love California and we are busily working on a West Coast Hybridfest event. No official announcement quite yet.

What area of California are you in?
