With a whopping 225 miles so far since filling the tires with nitrogen I have come to this astonishing conclusion...... nitrogen will NOT make your tires impervious to wood screws in the Home Depot parking lot.

    More updates to follow

Oh come on now. I don't believe that for a second. The scientific literature that I read on the equipment manufacturer's website clearly says that those big Nitrogen molecules will hold tire pressure even if all of the rubber is removed from the tire. Not only that, but you will feel better and be more attractive to the opposite sex.

Who cares about punctures, what I want to know is, does it or does it not increase women's bust sizes as previously reported.

Looking at Your Avatar, I have figured out which tire found the wood screw.

10K Service complete and some interesting numbers.

First off I purchased the service plan, easier for me not to worry about it when the time comes for an oil change. So at the 5K service they didn't realize I had the plan so they tried to charge me for it. Bill was for $49.99. When I brought the oversight to their attention, coupons started flying off the computer, it came to $40.00, itemized for everything and my charge being 0. At this service and itemized charge was again $40.00. Makes me wonder what I'd pay if I didn't have the service plan. And where's that other $9.99 coming from for those who don't have the plan?

Anyway, in 5K miles I've lost 1/32 of tread from all 4 tires.

Here's the interesting part. My rear brakes have grown 2mm. That's right, at the 5K service they were 6mm and now at the 10K they're 8mm, same as the front. Front brakes have not changed at 8mm.

They do keed lowering my tire pressure down to 40, though they write 32 on the service sheet, so I have to keep filling them up. No biggy, nitrogen is free.
