Okay, I'm a techie by trade but had my first experience ever with bluetooth yesterday. I got the phone paired, got the address book transferred.

the only thing I cant figure out now is, how do I *choose* to use the handset for a call instead of handsfree? do I do something on the phone, or something on the MFD?

last night I picked up the handset, chose a number, and pressed the green button and everything came over the car audio. I did not anticipate that and couldnt figure out how to turn it off. I figured you had to initiate handsfree calls from the MFD and calls initiated from the handset would go through the handset...

    any help is very appreciated!!

Use the "Transfer" soft-key on the MFD. This will allow you to take the call on the handset or take over with the in-car speaker.

It depends on the phone you are using. My Sanyo Katana automatically pairs with the car and connects or transfers calls to the Handsfree system when the car is on (and back to the handset when the car is turned off). I am able to manually transfer calls to the handset by pushing the speaker button on the phone itself.
