This has been known to us as the ebay slip on leather. You can do a search on ebay and type "prius leather." I'd link it here, but in the future when the link expires it's going to be a dead link anyways.

The brand that is used is called Clazzio Punching and it's actually a japanese brand. Something that assures us, but it's made in china. Even though it's made in China as long as the QA/QC is up to japan's standard then it should be as good.

    Site:
    ELEVEN INTERNATIONAL CO.,LTD.

the one on ebay seems to be the Clazzio "punching leather type" and the description from their site says "Punched leather and low repulsive urethane are used on front part only. This realizes not only good cost performance but also functional one.Its popular design suits new car models."

I went to the toyota dealership in La Puente/Rowland Heights area and they actually sold the suede one for 499. The leather one may be the same price, so there are alternates than ebay. I purchased mine for 433 shipped... my offer was 400 and 33 was for tax. I'm sure you can offer less and get a better deal, so please let us know when you do.
update!!! It's been confirmed that the seller will settle for somewhere between 395.01~400. (Reference post 52 by jdel)

I just checked out Long toyota. Seude is 399; leather is 499. https://www.longoparts.com/index.php?cPath=113_156

    Tools needed:
    14mm socket for seat belt
12mm socket for battery vent area
    wrench also ok
    Philips screw also.

    Pros:

1)Very easy to install. I have done the old way which was to take the fabric off and play with the million of hog rings. It would be the way manufactures would do when you get it out of the plant. You do not need to be mechanically inclined, but it does help. You can see from the pictures how easy it is....

    2) You can reuse them because it doesn't ruin your original seats. Good selling point when you're getting rid of your car. Taking it off would only take less than an hour.

    3) Comfortable

    4) It's been a week and none of my friends has noticed that they are slip ons. Total of about 10 people. When i tell 'em that they're slip on .. they start feeling it like i'm out of my mind.

    Cons:

    1) Side panels not included

Reference post 18 for install comparison to typical ebay hog ring design install.

    Looks "great"

By the way, after all the tugging, pulling, manipulating the seats, etc., your finger tips will feel normal in about a week.

So it goes OVER the cloth seats?

Anything to put on the armrests as well? I really like the looks of it!

how did you do the other side (i didn't even try)? I will think bout it how to attach it for the battery area.

Also from the website the Punching Leather Seems to be real, so i will change the con's posted above

Diversified.. for the rear center piece that comes out... is the velcro side facing the front or rear of the car?

The eBay PriusHoods leather center console cover is very easy to install ... it's attached with velcro strips on the underside and looks great installed that way.

PriusHoods also makes leather armrest covers that also attach with velcro strips, but look messy installed that way. You can make these armrest covers look better with a reupholstery type installation, but that involves taking apart a large chunk of the door (there's a detailed thread here on the subject with pictures and instructions).

Kevin, the seat covers Roy and me put on are differant from the link you provided to Ebay. The covers we installed are put over the existing seats, "a lot easier". The leater seat covers you linked appears to have the existing material removed. If you search "Ebay leather", a response from "Boo" in that thread shows some of the installation you must do with your Ebay linked covers. A LOT OF WORK!. You may want to investigate the covers we put on unless you don't mind a major job. Besides like I said earlier, hopefully in the future the covers we installed will fit in future Prius and can be used, leaving my old seats in good condition.

I've installed these types on my old car. You will deal with logs of hogrings and is a real pain in the butt to install. This is coming from a guy that's done his own engine transplat and headgasket on previous cars. I'm mechanically inclined and don't recommend it unless you're up for the challenge.

On scale of 1 - 10 for the ease of install
    1 being easy
    10 being hard

The hog rings style leather is about 8 or 9.
The Clazzio which i recommend is 2.5

I had my gf help install it and she did most of the work. This is how easy it is.

Going back to the hog rings..remember you have to take out the fabric and existing hog rings. Then you will have to reinstall hog rings. They are about 4" o.c. (guestimating) If you're going to have someone to install it's probably in the range of 400 to 600 so 520 + 30 for shipping+ 500 for install puts you at 1050.

The Clazzio was $433 total which included 8.25% tax and shipping.

How does Clazzio and The OEM STYLE Hog rings compare? Personally, there isn't much difference. The leather doesn't move with th Clazzio. It doesn't feel overstuffed or hollow. It's engineering very well.

Also Clazzio does not include SIDE PANELS. Side panels only. Center console is included. Hope this helps.

Here's a thread by usbseawolf2000 with great pictures of his tan interior with the eBay PriusHoods leather center console cover and armrest covers in black leather.

    http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-modifications/20827-woodtrim-17-rims.html

The black makes for a nice contrast in either the gray or tan interior. It also picks up the other black pieces in the interior.

usbseawolf2000 installed the leather center console cover and armrest covers as reupholstery instead of using the velcro strips. Aesthetically, I think this is critical for the armrest covers, but not for the center console cover.

also to get you an idea of time it take to install

    Clazzio
    1) Front seats dont' need to be removed
    2) Therefore battery doesn't haven't to be disconnected.
    3) Only rear seats need to be removed at the butt side and the side battery vent area.
    4) I will stand with diversified's 5 hours install. It is a good estimate.
    5) 2nd time around should take you 2.5 hours or less.

    Hog Ring OEM Style
    1) Wires need to be disconnected for air bags sensor, if you dont' do this right you will need to return to the dealer and disable the warning. Your airbags will not work until you do.
    2) All seats need to come out of the car.
    3) All fabrics need to be removed.
    4) Install time will take anywhere from 5 hours for Professionaly up to 16 + hours if you're not mechanicall inclined.
    5) Please understand this is very diffcult and a pain in the butt. If you're not going to pay someone to do it then don't
    6) You can probably reuse your fabric but taking off the leather and reinstall fabric when you get rid of your car.hm...... trust me when i say this.. you won't do it.
    7) Side panels.. you will most likely have to remove your door panels to install it.
    8) Side panels will be 3m sprayed so you will not be able to remove it in the future.

Roy, I put my rear center arm rest cover on top at the rear like the sample photo showed. I attached a picture. Did you get the double sided tape for the front console cover?
