She really appears to have her life together.

I assume the pic where she's tattooed and anorexic is the "after" and the one where she's curvaceous and un-ornamented is the "before." I think the "before" pic is hot. The "after" pic looks diseased. Definitely not hot. I have never knowingly heard her sing, so I have no comment on her talent or lack thereof. I never heard of her until a few days ago.

 

She was smoking a lot of pot (a LOT of pot) at the time of the "before" picture, which she claims helped account for the extra weight (got the munchies). Of course, if she's really a crack head now, that would explain the swing to the skinny side.

I have been listening to her "Back to Black" album since it came out last year. It's really great. I find many musicians disturbing to watch when they perform. On the whole, they are an unsavory lot. There are, of course, exceptions.

Notable exceptions, of course, being pretty much all classical musicians. While some operatic stars are said to have bad personalities, I've never heard of a widespread connection between classical musicians and drugs. I much prefer classical music. I suppose that makes me an old fuddy-duddy, but I'm okay with that.

I'm a big fan of classical too. I pretty much like everything short of very heavy metal and country that is way out towards the country end of the spectrum.

Music HD, which is a high-definition music cable channel, ran an Amy Winehouse concert on the night after the Grammies. Apparently Music HD is a family channel, because they dropped all the bad words out of Amy's music. Once you do that, there isn't much left with her songs. For the first two songs, I thought I was having trouble with my audio.

"I have had such a hard time playing this character in this film for $5 million dollars, I need some drugs to mix together, before i can handle another massage."

Classical music involves a kind of dedication and personal discipline that is sometimes lacking in other music genres. Classical musicians often have to think of the deeper meanings of their music also, which makes them a little more thoughtful.

If skank is hot, then Amy's on fire. She always has that "I just got out of jail" look.

I'm a girl but I think she's hot, just unfortunate that she's so into drugs, etc. Makes her so much less attractive. She is a good musician, though.

 

Nah . . . I say, "start the clock on us reading her obituary within a couple of years."
