I am picking up my new 2008 Prius ,level 3, with Bluetooth on Monday, 2/25. I am also up for renewal with my Verizon phone provider. I would like to know which phone is most compatible with my Prius. I know I can go to http://toyota.com/brands/toyota-by/home/.htm by get a list of the only pairing phones I can consider. My question of all the phones, some allow Transfer single phonebook entry, whereas none allow Transfer Multiple phonebook entry. How important is this feature? What other feature(s) are as or more important? Can anyone recommend a good, basic phone to purchase. I am impressed with the forum so far, and I am glad I found your forum. I have Verizon and just got a new EnV. It allows you to transfer up to 10 phone book entries at a time. So far it works flawlessly with the Bluetooth in the car.

I'm with T-mobile and I use a Balckberry that hooks up seamlessly every time I enter the car. This is a GREAT feature which I totally love about the Prius.

I have verizon and just got a Samsung sch u540. It transfers all contacts at once. Follow the directions in the Prius manual and then mark all contacts in the phone and send as a v-card to the prius (page 55 of the phone manual). You do this AFTER you pair the phone to the prius. Hope this helps

I just purchased a Virgin Mobile Slim (pay as you go phone)which pairs very well with my Prius bluetooth. Not sure if I can transfer my phonebook. It does work and Target had it for $49.99 and they gave you a free $20 card!! Worth it for someone who rarely uses the cell phone except for emergencies. It also comes with camera and built in GPS so if you have an emergency and you call 911 they will be able to find you.

I can connect fine. Sometimes I need to continue the conversation after I have reached destination. How do I stay connected after I power off the car.

Just hit the "transfer call" (on the MFD) button before powering off the car. That transfers the call back to the handset. At least that's what the manual says...I haven't actually tried it yet! :)

Your phone compatibility link didn't work for me, so I did some searching on Toyota's web site. It looks lilke they are now using the following site to show compatible phones:

Could you verify the model of the phone. Checked the VirginMobile web site and did not see a model "Slim".Please advise.

    Thanks
