I would like to see some nice carbon fiber replacements for the black vertical window trim pieces between the front and rear doors. Something that can take polish and not get white from the wax/polish. I searched but couldn't locate any online.

I think they make those already. They are like a big thick sticker.
Sigma Automotive – Toyota Hybrid Prius 2004 - 2006 OEM & JDM auto accessories

    Look for the pillar kit.

Look closely at the moving slats now you are getting very very sleepy, now bark like a dog.:D

This is exactly what I am saying. Making the grille block itself will take some time and thought.

I am casting no stones on the idea and it looks like a well done animation but the gear system looks way to complicated and prone to failure.

A much simpler mechanism to move the slats is available I'm sure.

I personally would be very happy with a nice aerodynamic smooth grill block. The adjustable feature just seems like over kill to me. As long as it was not too difficult to remove.

If you sold a fixed grill block for the upper and lower grills, I would buy it in a second. If it was carbon fiber color, all the better.

    The wheel skirts, maybe.

A subwoofer box would also be very popular for a Prius. People ask about subwoofer installs frequently. The best location is a rear cubby, but the custom fab cost is really high.

A nice smooth grill block... Would this be flush with the surface of the bumper or recessed to line up with the foglights/current grill.

Depending on what people want, foglights may be a problem, as they may then need to be relocated...

I totally agree about the subwoofer box. I get tons of emails from people asking where they can find one.

An observation on rear wheel skirts:

This morning a great barge of a Buick drove by my house. It had what I might call "partial" wheel skirts. (Definitely my father's generation's automobile. The old man, even though he never owned one, was especially partial to the Hudson Hornet. It had wheel skirts as I recall.)

Anyway, I looked closely at my 2008 Touring model. The outward extent of the rear wheels is inside the line of the body panel for it's upper half. Only in the lower half does the tire extent past the panel.

It might be that for a cleaner arrangement, both visually and perhaps aerodynamically, a skirt need not extend fully to the lower body line. The lower line of the skirt would start at the body line and then be scalloped upward between the edges of the wheel well openings.

To my thinking, this could prevent the visual heaviness that goes with a full skirt. Granted, there might be an accompanying slight increase in drag compared to a full skirt.

This is what I would want wheel skirts to look like.

    I remember wheelskirts.

    I've always hated wheelskirts.

Count me out, thank you anyway.

I agree. I want something nice and clean like that. Well your car is not clean but the wheel skirt design is. :D

Proper skirts would look like this:

There is a slight ridge that mimics and extends the ridge in the rear bumper following the same line, but only about 1/4 inch deep. Below this ridge the skirt extends straight down and flares out around the lower part of the tire.

All you need is some Turtlewax ICE wax. It's safe for all surfaces and won't turn your black trim white.;)

A form factored rubber front end mask would be great. Something that could replace bras and bug deflectors and make the car's front end impervious to flying rocks & bugs.

HybridEffects, please let me know if there is any way I can help. I wouldn't mind making prototypes out of fiber board or whatever material would work well for a pattern, taking photos on my car and sending them to you with measurements as needed.

I have worked on my concept some more, but I really like the ones on BestMapman's photo maybe better. The rib on my design would help stiffen them though.

Would you be thinking of vacuum forming these? I have even been thinking I should look into ways I might make a homemade vacuum forming machine.
Oops, forgot to update the 28 inch measurement is more now that I decided it would be better to extend the skirt beyond wheel well opening of the bottom half.

I wish I gould get an older Matel Vacuform toy and then hit it with Rick Morenas' Blow Up the Kids ray gun.
