Yes! The MFD doesn't show us the engine spinning. :(

The scangauge also tells us a lie on the fuel-cut mode...
CleanMPG reviews the ScanGauge II. - CleanMPG Forums
"Another issue has to do with Fuel Cut. The ScanGauge II has no way to tell if the ICE is in Fuel Cut or if the car is at speed running at idle as you would in a NICE-On. Although the FE calculated and shown is very high under this condition (between 130 and 250 MPG depending on speed and ICE size), fuel is still shown being consumed when it is not thus causing an ever increasing error to build in."

so the faster you go, the higher the mileage? hmmm.... that is just as curious

i guess it would be the time intervals became queries and the distance traveled that figure into it... but just wondering what would be the input for the gas consumed? and why would it register 9999 at other times to signify no gas used?

I think you see 9999 at engine stop coasting below 42 mph, but you see some hundreds numbers on your scangauge above 42 mph, engine spinning fuel-cut mode.
Would you please clarify this with your rpm display?

Here is what I've found with the SG2 with the X-gauge feature: With the new "cutoff" feature, the mpg will display 9999 when the GPH drops below the pre-set level. I set my "cut-off" level at just one number below the level it's at when the ICE is idling. The GPH will only drop below the idle usage level when the engine is spinning over when the speed is above 42 mph and you are in regen or gliding.

i am fairly sure that i have seen the 9999 at all speeds, but not positive. there is a hill near me that would show it if it happens (its on freeway and i can hit the top of hill at 55 mph... without touching the gas, will be doing over 70 mph at bottom if i dont touch the brakes) i will definitely look for it then and report back
