Man, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this car! This is my drive to my son's school, then across town to his dad's place. The first segment is climbing up a large, intracoastal bridge. Once I started going down, my MPG started going up up up. I have a lot of jam-up rush hour traffic driving. I get to do a lot of stealth driving on my way home everyday and, while everyone else is idling at stoplights and in slow-moving stalls, of course, I'm ever so quietly waiting, using no gas... Woo hoo!

Doing great there Sam, you will only build on that as the weather warms up so for a second tank that mileage is very good.

Well, I'm in Florida, so it has been mostly in the 70s & 80s, temperature-wise. When it is up around 100 degrees, I should still be up there, though, right?

W have had temperatures topping 35 degrees Celsius(95F) every day for the last 15 days and my fuel consumption went up from my average of 4.3L/100km to 4.4L/100km (55 to 53.5mpg) This means my car used an extra litre of fuel per 1000km because I used the air conditioner, no big deal. At my average speed driving across town of about 40km/h or 25mph in stop start traffic my car air conditioner will keep me comfortable for about 20 hours on about a quart of petrol.

Nah, at 100 degrees it's best to use the AC to keep you and the battery cooler. The AC use is typically corresponds to a 5-10% reduction in FE. Me and my car enjoy temps in the 60s and 70s.

Must be either the Hart bridge or the Dame's Point, right? I do miss that "wintertime" weather in Jax, it gets way too cold up here.
