Okay. No need to apologize. I have to say one thing more, though. Your friend - she still appreciated all the great things you are. She just preferred to have you as a friend - it sounds like your friendship was very precious to her. She probably didn't want to lose your friendship and apparently has bad taste in men, as far as mates go. There's nothing wrong with you; you're excellent mate material. It's just circumstance. ((((((((((((((((((((((hug))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Okay. :focus: Only flakes date guys because of their cars...

You know, most of the girls in my enironmental classes prefer men dressed are you do and avoid the sharp dressed "primped" type. I dress both ways, sometimes in the most prepared and trendy styles and othertimes I wear a t-shirt and my hiking pants, and the reactions I get will vary. Seems most of the genuine girls I know on campus prefer the second look while I garner most attention from the prissy rich girls when I dress too clean and trendy. I don't want the attention of those fake little rich girls. ;)

Overall though, I do seem to get the most attention when I dress up. :D

Like I have said in other threads. I have allot of tattoos, a MoHawk and gauged ears, So most people won't even look into my eyes, unles they talk to me. I am the kindest person you'll ever meet and everyone who know me knows this. It's all about meeting the right person, What you drive shouldn't matter. The fact that you are enviromentally conscience should override the fact that you don't drive a $100k+ car....

Ok, Daniel, my little pep talk didn't work. And I'll regard your wishes and allow this thread to get back on topic, excepting the following. Then I'll shut up.

I just wanted to say that I feel for you. It ain't right that someone of your substance and character is lonely and living without that which he desires. I know I only know of you over the internet but will hazard a guess that you are all of that which you portray on this board. And if I'm correct, it just ain't right.

The only suggestion I have is that maybe you should try to internally be more positive about potential relationships, about yourself and what you have to offer gals. Maybe the fact that you're feeling so downtrodden and negative about relationships is coming through as you meet people. If you're not confident and certain of yourself and what you can contribute to the relationship, a potential mate will probably pick up on this and feel the same way. So I will agree with others that confidence in yourself (not to be mistaken with arrogance) is an important aspect. I just don't believe that clothing, cars or other material possessions is the way to get there.....at least not concerning relationships. I think it's more important you are content being yourself, just an assured self.

    I'm sad for you. :(

I have to agree. I love the way the sun hits your windshield and adds that special glow to your metallic silver paint...oops! F8L wasn't talking about your Prius, was he? Still, your Prius is very nice. :)

Ugh...we could only hope for such a gift...
Did you hear how she recently was saying (in an interview about Spitzer) that when men cheat on their marriages, it is their wives' fault? She said they wouldn't be cheating if they were getting the support and love they need at home.

@ Jack66 - Get back to work your boss is watching.

IMHO - She is an inconsistent whack job. Why people actually call her for advice is completely beyond my comprehension.

Well, if you have to be in a cubicle, you might as well have a chuckle. I'm in a cubicle, too. :peep: I've got pictures and some coffee and even a fish...

Because men are less interesting than a woman in a cubicle?
