I am introducing myself. My name is Lynette, my husband and I just bought our first 08' Prius 11 days ago. I am the primary driver, and let me tell you, I Love it! I was toting or shall I say dragging around a gas guzzling Yukon XL running errands and what nots, and it was costing me around $400 a month in gas:eek: (I was told that was cheap compared to some people paying around $700 which is outrageous!). I opted for the pkg 2, since I already have a Garmin gps and xm radio also included in that unit, and as far as the bluetooth...well thats what my earpiece is for. :)
I thought heavily about getting the black since it seemed to have a richer or sportier look, but opted for the silver which is just as sporty and beautiful looking (not to mention Im not big on keeping my cars washed regularly). I had a tint put on the same day as purchased, and it really made the car pop! Not to mention, it keeps that hot California sun from frying my skin while in the car. Well thats all for now! :thumb:

Welcome to PC and congrats on the new Prius. If you are like most of us, the car will continue grow on you as you drive and experience it.....and as you watch the price of gas in it's inexorable march to $5, 6, 7, etc., per gallon.

    First post.

This format is same as Corvette's except with less members and better "gas milage." ;)
BTW: Just sold my 2007: C6.
    Soooooooooo....with change in my pocket.
Went to NY Auto Show looking for an economical alternative and really liked the Prius.

We're planning on ordering 2 as in "His and Here's" within the next few months.

    Any suggestions before we buy????

    Bobby V,

As you can see from my signature, my wife and I already drive "his and hers" and we love it!!! I recommend you go the touring route for better handling and ride when you buy your new Priis. They have a firmer suspension and larger, 16-inch tires, which enhance the looks and feel of the car. Whatever your choice of models, you will enjoy the car as they are a blast to drive and well engineered. Welcome to PriusChat!!!!

Thanks for the comments. The touring package sounds nice, but will have to see if it's within our price range.
