@ 800 miles, 49 mpg per computer, 48 per hand calculations with two fill-ups.
I get 48 mpg average consistently at 65 mph on the interstate and at 45 mph on 2-lane country road, both part of my 80 mile per day commute. On certain flat stretches of my intersate commute the computer shows the 5-minute averages at 60+ mpg. Likewise on flat stretches of my 2-lane road. I have not changed my typical driving habits, I guess my years of trying to eek out mpg from my previous stick-shift sub-compacts has given me some good habits. I have decided to push for a 50mpg average on the screen, just for that personal satisfaction factor.
I actually like the split rear window, because it blocks headlights from cars behind. The back-up camera is of limited use, but cool to show first-time passengers. I have grown very fond of keyless! Comfortable for my 200-lb 6-foot body with bad back on my commute. Golf and softball bags in the trunk with room to spare for groceries. Great sound system. Haven't figured out how to use the AUX connection tho. Need an expensive adapter for iPod as far as I know, but I'm surfing around to find an inexpensive solution for that. Don't particulary like the "Climate" screen. Too many reaches to adjust temperature. A button on the steering wheel for that would be nice. Otherwise, I like the other buttons, especially for Audio. Never was too keen on the Toyota cruise control lever, prefer buttons on the steering wheel.
But...comfort, vehicle size and configuration, mileage, "cool" factor, all add up to "I'm very happy I bought this!"

40 miles, US 15 to Leesburg, then Rt 7 to Rt 28 for about a mile. About 10 miles four-lane highway, 7 miles on Rt 7 thru stop lites, and the rest rolling two-lane thru the country-side

With 1300 miles now, mostly on that trek but also with some miles on I270, almost three weeks into it, my cumulative computer mpg is 50.8, with over 49 mpg hand calculated. It's been inching up, maybe due to the higher AM temps, I guess, or just breaking in the car, or maybe my refining my driving techniques. Don't know. Its been fun.

But, now I have a problem. My Sebring Convertible has been in the driveway just hankerin' for top-down weather! He gets 27 mpg, no matter how I drive. Its a great top-down commute! So, today with temps in the 70's, I've sacrificed economy for fun-n-sun.

I want a Prius Convertible !!!!!

 

Yes, not bad. But typically you'd get in the car, select the climate mode and initial settings, then start driving. The steering wheel buttons, for my taste, would be fan speed, vent, and temp selections. I am frequently reaching for the screen to adjust these. I seldom hit AC, Interior, or Defrost while I'm driving. For example, for Audio we get Volume, Channel, and Band controls. Same thing as Temp, vent, and Fan Speed. They'd just need to dulpicate the controls on both sides of the wheel!
