But certain people on this board assure us completely that in a week or two gas will be under a buck.

When gas hits $10 a gallon, I'll still be walking to work part of the time and working from home the rest. I might need an armed guard on the vegetable patch, though.

Where I grew up that was a tricycle. A car has 4 wheels.

I filled up tonight and was startled to see Chevron Premium 92 octane for $4.09 in Fairfield, CA.

I got home to Lincoln, CA. (76 miles away) and Premium was $3.89 at a no-name station.

Everytime I fill up I'm sooo happy I gave up the race cars for the Prius.

    I  my MFD.

$1.249 per litre here today, which is $4.75 per US gallon. (assuming dollars at par) I think that's the highest I've seen it here. I remember when it was 23 cents a litre, no dollar signs. I'm really not that old, I just have a good memory. :D

Or, I will have converted my Prius to a PHEV. I imagine it would cost less to convert to a PHEV than go to a full EV. $10/gallon gas should make the Cost/Benefit decision fairly simple.

My car is filling up in the garage as I write this. Six cents per kilowatt-hour. Two cents per mile.

I know is silly to wait until the last pip is blinking ... but you fillup after using just one of ten gallons?!? That's way crazy! :D

$10 a gallon? The question is, "when". I'm guessing 2011 with many counties hitting that mark in early 2010.

Good. When do you expect delivery? PHEV or EV version?

If you want to think about it, my Prius gets 3 times the gas mileage as the average SUV, so in relation to what I pay and what they pay my $3.29 gallon gas already equals $10 gallons for them.
