Hi all. I bought my 08 Magnetic Gray Prius in October of last year (15 days too late to get the tax credit - d'oh!). I've been lurking on these forums since then and finally decided to post. If there are any other Prius owners in the area, please say hello!

Yeah, I was way bummed when I found out that the tax credit had expired - but welcome to PC! I'm from over in Boiling Springs (NC). I lived in Charlotte for 7 years - don't miss the traffic! I got my white touring 3 days before Christmas - found it in Hendersonville. I was so chapped with the zero tax credit that I wrote Elizabeth Dole, Richard Burr & Patrick McHenry. I actually got a response from Dole & Burr! (see my post titled "What Tax Break!") Glad to have you on board.:D

Hello from Troy, NC. I have owned my Prius for about a month now. I also wrote my senators & congressmen about lack of tax cut for hybrids now. However, I got NO replys?
Doesn't matter anyway. I love my Prii.

I just hit 11.1K miles today. I know that's quite a bit since October, but my wife drives it three days a week on a 100 mile round trip. We're taking it up to Maryland in a few weeks, so this will obviously not be a low-mileage car. I guess you can say we bought it to drive it, and we certainly have.

Good to see some other NC folks here as well! Hard to pick you guys out in between all the new england and west coast chatter ;)

I don't have my TCH yet but hopefully a dealer here in Charlotte will come through for me soon and I can join your ranks properly :)

Malkavian, have you tried BuyaToyota dot com? You can put in your zip code and see allocations for dealers in your area. I used it to help in my search, and it was a valuable tool.
